ELOS Filtra1 has been formulated not only to provide a natural substrate, but also to slowly dissolve as a result of natural solubility and close-proximity bacterial respiration, simulating the processes at work in sediment found in nature. ELOS Filtra1 is a terrigenous material composed of minerals naturally occurring in marine habitats, and therefore brings the hobbyist one step closer to providing a truly representative piece of the natural biotopes. Over time, ELOS Filtra1 slowly releases trace elements simulating natural cycles taking place in natural marine ecosystems.
