Clay in Motion Pie Plate (Mountain Meadows)

The plate is beautiful. I haven't used it yet. However, it was paid for twice. It was a gift, and arrived badly cracked. I tried to use the Amazon app in order to arrange for a replacement, but that didn't work, and then I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a very nice woman from Amazon who was unable to help me adequately (I had to keep repeating things, her computer was having problems...). After all of this, I was told that I needed to pack the plate up, and return it. There were only three more plates available. By then, it was just way too much hassle, and I was not given this gift for it to cause so much frustration. I just bought it again, and will throw the other one out. I don't know how it got cracked, but maybe this knowledge will help someone to ship these kinds of items to their destination without breakage.

I made an apple pie and a chicken pot pie in this pie plate. I have made both of these recipes for years with no problem. In this pie pan, neither of them cooked completely. The bottom crust remained raw. I'm so very disappointed. Unfortunately, because I was sick I was unable to use the plate until after the return date had expired. Now I'm stuck with a beautiful, useless pie plate. sigh...

Update: I reordered and it came back to me Shattered again. Greatly reduced my rating to a 1.I'm giving this a 5 even though this particular one came to me shattered. I have another one just like it and I love it. I enjoy beautiful function and this pie dish is so earthy and comforting. Going to reorder now that my money was refunded. Returning this was a snap and my refund was quick, unfortunate but painless.

I purchased two of these as gifts. Stoneware helps pie crusts bake evenly and turns out the best pies I've ever made. These are well-made and absolutely gorgeous in person, and I highly recommend them to other bakers.

This is a beautiful pie plate. I bought the green one. Couple days ago I made a pecan pie and the crust recipe called for putting shell in fridge for an hour then putting in 400 degree oven straight from fridge. I was terrified my beautiful plate would explode but it didn’t. Made a wonderful pie and then cleaned up beautifully. LOVE IT.

Shipping was quick which was great because I needed it before the holidays quick! I love handmade ceramics and this had a recipe imprinted on the bottom for an apple pie! Love, although I made my pecan pie in it. Perfect for hosting for the holidays! Its also a sturdy dish to shamelessly eat the rest of the pie out of the day after hosting lol!

I LOVE these deep dish pie plates. I got the first one ever as a wedding gift. The recipe it comes with stamped on the base is a charming touch to the already beautiful finish. I use the plate to make pumpkin pies, apple pies, and chicken pot pie. Now, because it's so beaituful and functional, I buy one as a wedding gift anytime I'm a guest for someone's nuptuals. I've purchased four of these so far, and I keep mine on display when not in use because it's so pretty.

This pie plate is beautiful but it arrived racked and I returned it! I read the reviews by others and saw that they had the same issue. I thought the seller might have learned topic it better but alas, they did not! I bought a pie plate off of eBay that arrived in one piece and will do very nicely.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother. She really likes the colour (I chose green because it’s her favourite colour) and she has already used it. The pie plate also has a place of honour on the shelf and works very nice as a decorative piece as well.
