Who Was Steve Jobs? [Pollack, Pam, Belviso, Meg, Who HQ, O'Brien, John] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Who Was Steve Jobs? Review: Great for reluctant readers! - This series is wonderful, my 8 yo son used this for a biography book report and thoroughly enjoyed the book. He wished there were a few more details about Steve, but I think the authors struck a good balance. I had read the Steve Jobs autobiography, by Walter Isaacson, so I was able to fill in a few things for him, and he was quite impressed that his book was so much shorter than the one I had read. It is a great introduction to the man behind Apple, particularly when so many children use Apple products. Review: My 11 yr old daughter devoured this book - My 11 year old daughter loves this book. She also likes the others in the series, but she really loves this one. Its cool that she understands the background behind all the Apple devices she is using. She really embraced the idea that Steve Jobs did not invent any of the technologies, he just made them practical, and more importantly, fun to use. She said she thought she knew a lot about Jobs before reading the book, but she really didn't know much at all. She was amazed in the amount of interesting facts about his life. She talked about Jobs for about 3 days straight after reading it.

Perfect for my 12-year-old....and me!
Between this book and a documentary on YouTube-actually his dissertation to Stanford on YouTube were great information for a report for my 12-year-old daughter. I really appreciated learning about his tenacity to work for what he believed in. I don't know all the closed-door stuff about him of course or his real life, but it seems seems was really an amazing person when it came to work anyways. Though it seemed he may of been difficult to work with at times it also seems he really had a knack for seeing the talent and beauty in a lot of different people and objects. It also opened the discussion with my daughter about the fragility of life, and no matter how much money you have....we have to really think about the things that are worth living for...and loving for.

Great little book
Great little book. We buy lots of Who Was books and use them for homeschool enrichment. Short chapters, larger font, and lots of pictures make these books an easy read. This was a great addition to our collection.

Steve Jobs
I liked to read this e book. It was easy to understand the life of one of the most important character in the computer and internet era. I was very impressed with the reading. It was amazing for me to know a little closer about Steve Jobs life. I recommend this e book to everybody who wants to know a little more about this icon man. For children it's OK. I think it could be longer because it was very interesting and I wanted to read more.

Amazing book!
This book was amazing! It was short and included many details about Steve Jobs. What surprised me the most was the fact that he was so poor and then became a billionaire. "Steve couldn't pay for college". "Steve Jobs was a success- a big success. He wasn't a millionaire anymore. He was a billionaire." Steve Jobs has showed me that it doesn't matter where you come from, you can be a success. That a poor child can go from having no money to becoming one of the richest and youngest men alive.

Awesome Apple Story with Steve Jobs
Ok, I like a book as true story with Steve Jobs. He was famous Businessman and Inventor in the United States. I always remember this Apple Computer equipment including Black / White Monitor, Keyboard, Drives and Printer while I was in my old High School classroom from 1981 to 1986. I was a young teenager and did not learn about Steve Jobs.

A Great Resource for Teaching Resilience
My 8 and 9 year old sons and I read a few pages of a 'Who Was' book every night before they go to bed. The series is interesting and educational... teaching my sons and me about important people's contributions to our lives. But what I love most about these entertaining books is that show my sons the struggles and failures many 'successful' people face and how they persist and don't give up on their dreams

Great book. My son loved it. Said it was sad. Steve's last words, as he looked at his family before he passed, were, "oh wow, oh wow, oh wow."

Very well written with limited information for a 8yr old to understand. We love all the who was and who is books from the same publisher.

Larger print and many drawings give this book appeal for ESL students at a B1 or B2 level. Sometimes there just isn't space to say a bit more.

reçu en temps et en heure en très bon état. Parfait. Je recommande cette petite collection pour les ados qui veulent commencer à lire en anglais.
