Steering was nearly immobile. I was able to cut and pull the old steering cable. I then identified the model number from the old cable and ordered the correct part. While the installation took me some time alone, it was essentially pretty simple. I chose to order and replace the rack as well, since it was all disassembled, and the steering is better now than when I purchased the boat. This was an excellent replacement!

Arrived on time and as advertised. First time for me replacing steering cables on a boat. Have an 18’ 2005 Nitro that took both hands to steer. I replaced the cables in 45 min to an hour, much easier than I’d expected, steers like a new one now!

The Teleflex 13' Marine Dual Rack Cables were exactly what I needed to fix stiff steering on my 1999 Skeeter SX186. This is actually my 2nd replacement set. In between the stock cables and this set, I used some 14' cables... big mistake. I only got about 3-years out of them. The life expectancy should be closer to 5.Make sure you get the right length, keep the cables lubed with white grease, and you should have easy steering for years to come.

Just what we needed to get the boat and going again. Was easy to install (14 year old son) for him and get his boat ready for his fishing tournament. Received on time no delays.

This product is awesome, it fit perfect on my 2003 skeeter fish and ski. It also performs much better than the stock one ever did. I am very pleased with this product, you can't ask for anything more.

I purchased this dual steering cable system for my boat. It is very high quality and superceeds the manufacturer's cable set-up in quality. I also didn't have to spend a ton of money for it. Usually, these cables go for several hundred dollars more, but not through Amazon. They also shipped very quickly. I am pleased with them and Amazon for their help in getting me back on the water in short time and with money left in my wallet!
