Awesome story!
Glitch tells the story of Zoe. Zoe lives in the Community, a place that consists of people living with the VChip. The VChip takes away all emotions and connects the person into a Community Network called the "Link." Everyone is connected and is programmed to report anything out of the ordinary (anomalous), which could be as little as someone that knocks something over and reacts. Being "linked in" is normal. Glitching, or being unlinked, is anomalous. According to the code of the Community, anomalies may result in deactivation. Yep. Death! Now, Zoe is a glitcher in a crowd of drones, trying to appear like she isn't full on freaking out. And, on top of glitching in and out of the Link, Zoe discovers she has the power of telekinesis. The journey of Zoe learning how to control her telekinesis was probably the coolest part of the book. It was really powerful and I thought the author, Heather Anastasiu, did a wonderful job capturing all the emotions that are raging through Zoe. Going through the process of learning what emotions are and what words correspond to different feelings is something Zoe struggles with constantly. Being human and having a free mind and so many conflicting emotions causes a lot of turmoil for her. It is an amazing arc. The character development throughout this novel was stellar. I was always on my toes trying to figure out the different characters, their motivations, if they were lying, etc... All signs of a perfect read! 5 stars to Glitch!!

Glitch
I thought this book was mind blowing good!! At first when i started i had to see what kind of world that was created and try to get a feel for it-dystopian..As it turns out main character, Zoel or Zoe starts to glitch she is feeling things she knows she shouldnt be and seeing things that are not black-grayish.. Knowing glitching means she is an anomaly she must stay hidden and keep a blank face as the other people who all live underground. The community has told them that there was a Destruction Day and the outside world was destroyed and filled with toxins in the air.So everybody lives underground in tunnels and such.. Along the way she finds out that one her classmates is also a glitcher- Max and another boy Adrien-who all with gifts including Zoe. i liked the main character and thought she was a very strong, smart girl. Adrien i liked too but had some odd talking vocabulary (which i caught myself saying something with crackin in it)..but Max urgghh i hated everything he said and did..he was jealous, selfish and seemed angry all the time.. As this book progressed through i was pulled into and left mind blown-explosive twists and turns and was left dying to read the next book!!!!

An Amazing Start to a Great Trilogy
Glitch was a very Highly Anticipated book for me! I've had it sitting on my bookshelf for months, just waiting to be read! But with so many great books releasing it just got put on the back burner! But finally I picked it up, and to be honest, in the beginning I was a little disappointed. It seemed to drag for a while, but after I got to about the halfway mark I was hooked! I was lost in this Amazing Science Fiction, Dystopian, world that was sickening, yet captivating! I was horrified at they way these humans were being treated like drone slaves. And the saddest part was that they thought they were being saved! That this was the only way for them to live as one without society turning on each other! I couldn't imagine a world like Glitch! In the beginning their wasn't that much happening and it seemed kinda slow and I was tempted to give up on it. Then I decided to read on, and that's when I became lost in this sickening world that these Drones lived in, and I just had to have more! It turned out to be everything I could of hoped for! And I am so happy I didn't give up on Glitch, because I would of missed out on an amazing series! THE PLOT: The world has been destroyed and taken over by the Uppers, the ones that turned there once beautiful world into a underground robotic slave ground with Computerized Drones, where humans are inserted with internal hardrives that control them, Completely wipe away any trace of human emotion or feeling. You only live to be a robotic slave and do as your internal link in your head tells you too! When your born you are inserted with and internal hardrive that is hooked to the brains main function that will control your every move, your every thought, you have no desires, no needs, besides the ones you NEED to keep you alive. The sad part about it is that they think its what's keeping them safe and alive! These people are brainwashed and controlled by the Chancellor and the Uppers. There the only ones not controlled by an internal link. They feel and have control of themselves, they are the ones that turned this once thriving world into a walking nightmare! And they are determined to keep it that way! Zoel or Zoe as she's called for short is one of the robotic humans living in the underground environment that the Uppers created after D-Day. The day when the world went into chaos! The day that nuclear bombs when off and destroyed the world above ground. That's when the Uppers took control and got all the survivors under ground safely. Then the took advantage of the remaining survivors by telling them that the only way to survive was with the internal hardrives inserted in them. And that's the day everything changed! Now Zoe, a new generation is living like everyone else, completely zoned out and controlled by the link! But Zoe's different, she glitches! She is able to have little spurts where she is able to break free of the link and control herself completely! And its these glitches that have also gave Zoe a special ability. She is able to move things with her mind! She has telekinesis abilities and she doesn't know what to do with them or these glitches she's having, and she's starting to lose her mind! That is until the boy with the Aqua green eyes swoops in and saves her from being deactivated. Then Zoe finds a whole new world she knew nothing about! And whatever Zoe once believed before is changed forever! There's a Resistance that's been fighting back for years! Secretly obtaining information and getting to Glithers before they get caught and become deactivated (Killed). They are slowly building their Resistance numbers to eventually fight back and take back what once was theirs, their lives! Some Glitchers have been blessed with different abilities and the Resistance hopes they will come in use when its time to fight back! Zoe slowly gets recruited into the Rez (Resistance) and is preparing to make her escape with other Glitchers! But as events unfolded and there world comes crashing down on them, they slowly realize there is more to this whole thing then they once thought! Secretes come to light, People are revealed, and Zoe realizes that this fight is bigger then she ever imagined! Time is running out and the Chancellor is getting close! If they don't make a move soon, then they might not make it out ALIVE.... I enjoyed this book more then I thought I would! The ending blow me away and had me so engrossed in the twist and turns and surprises that were around every corner! I will definitely be finishing this series, and would highly recommend this book. It was so good that I'm even thinking about picking up the next book in the series Override now, But I have so many books to R2R, I just need more of the world that Heather created in the Glitch series!

I saw book2 of this series at B&n and thought I should really read the first on. And OMG! i'm glad I did! it's an amazing story of a young girl in a time of machincal people and computer brains for humans. where all human Emotions are gone because of a chip. but Zoel or Zoe is different, she can feel, and she has a power few have. this books has kept me on my toes and I haven't been able to put it down at all. Also I got really lucky and somehow got first edition of this novel! I went nuts when I saw it. but very happy with the book!

Fantastic book for those who like books like Hunger Games trilogy, Divergent, Delirium, the Eve series, and the TV show Heroes!
I was pleasantly surprised with this book (and all three in the series). I read them in just a few days. I had never heard of the book itself, but rather had been suggested the title by Amazon and thought it sounded interesting. It is a cool book about a safe future where technology helps control / regulate our emotions. Some are above to overcome this regulation and develop powers that help bring the true essence of humanity back. Lots of good twists and turns which definitely keep the reader on their toes. I highly recommend!

Romace so ridiculous and creepy I can't get through this without spoilers
~This review is based of an eARC received from NetGalley~ Oh YA romance, you have struck again. If you have read many of my reviews, then you know I hate insta-love. I literally headdesk every time I read a book where it happens, especially when there is a love triangle involved. Glitch is no exception to what seems to be a YA norm these days. But as if that wasn't enough, then it got strange. Really strange. But I am getting ahead of myself. When I began reading this book, I thought it was really awesome. The world of Glitch is excellently laid out. I have trouble remembering the shortcuts for copy and paste on my computer, but I easily understood the ins and outs of this entire population who basically has USB like ports connected to their brains. That, ladies and gents, is no small feat. The descriptions of Zoe's first glitches in the book were also excellent; I really felt what it was like for her to all of a sudden feel all these emotions and see all these colors that she had no name for. I was freakishly excited for that to continue. *SPOILERS AHEAD* I hate putting spoilers in my reviews, but this is one I just have to mention. I was actually really digging a plot twist that happened about a third of the way through. In a nutshell, Zoe gets caught and Adrien saves her by taking her to the surface. He takes her home, tells her he's been having visions of her being the leader of the resistance and then they fall in love with a snap of the fingers. But there's a problem. The whole time, Zoe had a memory jammer in her port. When they send her back into the Community, they have to take the memory jammer out and she forgets everything. I had many applause for that, until it started being handled strangely. The plot reset doesn't have the impact it could have if it had focused only on Adrian and Zoe. Instead, they bring Max into the picture. And Max creeped me out. He is the other point of our love triangle, but I have no idea why. His glitching turns him into the randiest teenage boy ever. He is instantly creepy possessive of Zoe, and also has severe anger management issues. I believe this was supposed to make a point about the impact of glitching and having emotions or whatever, but he just creeped me out. Especially when he was trying to get into Zoe's pants. That was the most awkward thing ever. But not to worry, folks! Because-even though the time Adrien saved her has been wiped from her memory, Zoe is still fantastically sure that he's her one and only and they are meant to be together forever. Because she's known him for a few days and he isn't trying to get into her pants OR have anger management issues. At least that's a good choice. *END SPOILERS* I almost wish that the ending had been longer. So many exciting things REALLY started happening, but I felt that they weren't fleshed out enough. The plot points made a vague amount of sense, but not enough time was spent on them to really get the impact they should have. That said, there was certainly nonstop action going on, which always makes me happy, so I'm willing to excuse that as long as maybe we'll get some retrospective insight into what was really going. All and all, Glitch was an interesting book. It suffered pretty badly from cliché YA romance, but the action and the world building tried to make up for it. The glitcher powers were pretty fantastic-especially Zoe's-and I really loved the description of how she uses that power. Now that Max is out of the picture (at least for a little bit), I think the story can only go up from here. The story really does have potential, and now that the romance nonsense is out of the way I'm excited for what will happen next.

A+ Amazing Book
I had read all of the reviews before I started reading the book, so I didn't know how I would feel about the book while I was reading it, but I absolutely LOVED this book! The story line was fantastic, and I had developed different characters voices as I read, and It was almost like a movie as I was reading it. This book was awesome and I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Pretties. If you liked these series, you'll Love this book!

Engrossing and well detailed :)
I liked 'Glitch' in that Anastatsiu was pretty careful putting her world together and mainly because she's goes to almost painstaking lengths to explain the V-chip; how it works, where it is and how they put it in to the point where the whole thing is plausible to me and I can accept the fact that it might happen. My knowledge of the brain and neurology etc. is quite limited, many other people may disagree with me but as someone of average enough intelligance it was plausible. The world is a dystopian one where humanity has fled underground after a nuclear war, it's a grim place and the little details such as nosebleeds from poor air circulation make it interesting. I liked the idea of dampening peoples emotions to make them obedient but I can remember seeing that idea in the movie 'Serenity' and the emotionless thing is also a bit similiar to Nalini Singh's psy series (i think i got author and series right there!). However, although not completely original I think Anastatsiu portrays the idea well. Zoel, or Zoe, is convincing enough and shows her naivety when it comes to love and relationships, she doesn't understand the emotions she's feeling and is rightly so a bit frightened. Adrien, the eventual love interest, is likeable and grows on you whereas you hate her new frend Max but I can understand his aggressive behaviour where he seems only to think about having sex all the time. Max has only been glitching for a few months (the v-chip glitches every now and then, stopping working and unleashing emotion and colour), so all of a sudden he is a teenage boy with hormonal urges and all that malarkey that he has trouble controlling. Not a bad book there are a few good plot twists and bits of action, the writing is a bit simplistic and this may not be the best dystopian novel out there but hopefully the second book will step it up!
