Samsung 128GB 80MB/s EVO Select Micro SDXC Memory Card (MB-ME128DA/AM)

Great card for the price and it is fast and is authentic. You would not believe how often these types of cards are counterfeit! I have gotten 2 fakes that did not work and both were sellers on Amazon! The worst part was one was purchased for use on vacation. Halfway through the vacation the memory card just died! It was not even recognized by the phone or the digital camera. I contacted the manufacturer via their website and they confirmed it was a counterfeit card! I was blown away! I lost hundreds of pictures and videos! Amazon went above and beyond when I contacted them, they actually replaced the card with a new one from a trusted seller and had it overnighted to our hotel! They refunded the original purchase price and sent the new one out at no cost! Now when I need a new card I research them a lot better! This card is genuine and it works great and is fast! You just want to make sure your phone or camera can use a card this size. Some phones won't recognize a card over 64gb or 32gb etc. So if you use a card over the maximum size listed, it may not work at all or may only use half the card!

There have been too many times I have ordered SD cards just to find out they're fraudulent. More than 10 times between my husband and myself, we have ordered and tried to load them up but they kept failing. We finally found a program to test the cards and all the cards would say something like 30g good out of 128g or something similar. I was so hesitant to buy yet another fake SD card but tried it anyway and I'm so glad I did as this card is the real deal. It passed the program test and had no problems transferring and holding data. I ended up ordering another one for my husband and he has had no problems either. It's so nice to find a reputable SD card seller for a good price. I definitely recommend this seller and this card!

I recently purchased this sd card because my 32gb was running out of storage. I needed something that would be able to store loads of virtual reality videos. This item works great for that. The 128gb after everything ends up being around 120gb which is still a lot. The price is great for a U1 card. The read speed is really good and the write speed is decent. Samsung is a really reliable company and I recommend buying a sd card from their evo series. It comes with an 10 year warranty so you don't have to worry about failures and defects. This card gives you the most bang for your buck if you aren't looking to record 4k (For 4k I would recommend the pro+ instead). This card is ideal for the average person who just needs some more storage.

Update 8/25/2016: Added the 256GB card to the comparison. It was much faster write speed and met the 95 MB/s read and 90MB/s write claims! I tested the 64GB and 128GB cards. Both cards exceeded the advertised speeds (80MB/s read and 20MB/s write). The 64GB card provided higher read and write speeds compared with the 128GB card. The 64GB card showed very high 512K random read and write speeds, the random write speeds exceeded the sequential writes. I think this worked out okay. I tried testing the speed and didn't get the stated speeds between usb 3.0 devices using a hub and being directly connected. Oh well. I enjoy having extra space for music. I wish my version of phone could be updated to use the 256gb file size. I haven't lost any data yet. :)

I bought this for my new Nintendo Switch that came in the mail last Saturday, and it works exactly how I want it to. This will save me a lot of trouble when it comes to downloading games digitally to my Nintendo Switch though I will have to eventually archive my data to make more room (Thankfully Nintendo thought ahead of time for that.) For someone who is in a wheelchair, it is really difficult for me to go to a store to get a physical copy of the game that I want, so this is a great solution for me. Because I am also very selective with the games that I buy and play, to me this will be enough... For now.

This review is for the 128GB version Samsung 128GB EVO Select Micro SDXC Memory Card, 80MB/s (MB-ME128DA/AM) . I purchased this card after receiving a counterfeit 128GB card of the older orange Samsung EVO. At the time the EVO Select was a brand new product with only 20 reviews, so I figured the counterfeiters wouldn't have got around to manufacturing the green ones yet. I used free USBDeview software to test this card, as well as copying 50GB of movies onto it so I could playback and test for file corruption (another test for counterfeits). Using USBDeview, read/write speeds on this product are approx 80 GB/s (read) and 19GB/s (write). The 128GB EVO Select card reads nearly twice as fast as the older orange Samsung EVO cards, but writes 20% slower. I tested speeds of 42R/23W on my two 64GB orange EVO cards, but was unable to test a 128GB EVO since the one I received was a fake. If you are using SDXC cards for write-speed-critical operation (HD video, sports photography), then you may want stick with Samsung's older orange EVO cards. Also there are pricier, faster-writing cards available but their quality and longevity tend to be less consistent than Samsung. Save yourself trouble and buy Samsung cards directly from Amazon, not from third-party Amazon sellers, who tend to sell counterfeit cards, especially on the expensive >64GB cards.

This is just What I needed for my Motorola Droid Turbo 2,,, Coming from a 64gb Sandisk,, I put it in my phone, reformatted it,,, then took it out and put it into my iMac and copied all the files from my 64gb sandisk,, Works like a charm so far after 3 weeks use,,, Also threw in well over 8000 songs from iTunes,, Just drag and drop,,, all my music comes up pretty quick and plays well,,, This should last me a few years I think,, or at least until the 256gb micro cards come down in price far enough for me to hit the buy button,, Great So far ,,

Esta memoria tiene un desempeño asombroso, superior a todo lo que yo estaba acostumbrado. Tengo una memoria Kingston de especificaciones similares, y mientras la "otra" escribe a un máximo de 19 MB/s, esta llega a 40MB/s (por lo menos mi unidad) Me siento extremadamente satisfecho, jamas había tenido una memoria de tan buena calidad, definitivamente iré remplazando las de mis dispositivos por memorias de estas, la recomiendo amplia mente. Por cierto, la resistencia a golpes es muy buena, se me ha caído y sin problemas, no recomiendo jugar fútbol con la memoria, pero parece que si le hace honor a lo que dice la etiqueta, eso de que es resistente a caídas, al polvo, al agua, a los rayos X, rashos láser, meteoritos, invasiones alienigenas, la devaluacion del peso, la caída y ascenso de USA, y el futuro posta apocalíptico de Donald Trump...

Works beautifully in my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone. Can save a ton of pictures. Got it on sale, excellent deal.

El pedido me llego mucho antes de lo programado. La Micro SD 128 GB Samsung funciona perfectamente como memoria interna en mi teléfono ( Moto X). Excelente precio: Pude aprovechar una oferta durante el Cyber Monday, el costo total fue de $650 pesos mexicanos. En ningún otro lugar la había visto a ese precio, menos de la mitad del precio regular de este producto

Me costo $800 pesos más o menos y me parece genial la relación costo/rendimiento pues este mismo año ya había comprado una msd PNY de 64gb a más de la mitad que me costo esta tarjeta. Sinceramente no creo que la vaya a llenar en todo el tiempo que tenga mi S7 pero creo que es mejor estar preparado en caso de querer grabar un monton de videos 4k. El empaque, como en casi todas las msd que he comprado, es un infierno para abrir considerando su tamaño, quizá pensado para que no sea fácil de robar en tiendas.
