Great, sturdy little shelf brackets. Nice looking too. I've used many, in various sizes. I used 2 of these per 8 foot bookshelf, they are holding up 8 ft 2x8 boards stuffed with hardcover books for months now, no problem. You'll want to drill into studs whenever possible, of course. Or use heavy duty drywall anchors and use more brackets if it is for something heavy like books. I considered using more than 2 but it's been unnecessary. The removable support brace makes it considerably easier to drill the screws in. Then you wedge the support in and it's perfect. L brackets without support tend to sag a little even if they're strong enough. These will keep your shelving completely perpendicular to the wall and won't sag. A note about that removable support. Some have complained that it falls out. It will not fall unless the top part of the "L" is being pulled up somehow. That's literally the only way that can happen. Then yes, the support will fall out. I had that issue when trying to use warped, twisted boards. If you screw the boards to the bracket, and the board is corkscrewed, one side will get pulled up and the brace will fall out. Solution: use flat boards. Or use the warped boards, but you'll have to finesse it so a bracket isn't being pulled upwards.

I bought these 6x4-inch brackets mainly for the way they look. The brushed metal finish with the holes in the crossbar really stand out on my clamp rack. They are solid, accurate, and feel like they can easily hold the weight. A bonus feature I didn’t know about is that the crossbar pops out to install the top screw. What a great idea. It only takes a slight push to snap it back into place. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend these brackets.

Good quality and well made. Some reviewers' concerns about the cross member not welded is not an issue as the cross member is notched into the L bracket, so unless your application involves large dynamic movements of the entrie assembly, that is NOT an issue.

I got these to hang a ladder on the outside back wall of my garage. They are well made with thick stainless steel. The additional 45 degree support bracket is removeable so that you can easily screw the "L" bracket to the wall. It would be better if they included stainless steel mounting screws. It wasn't a big deal for me as I got to use some perfectly sized stainless screw that I have had for 40 years that I salvaged from a boat I used to own. LOL. Just be aware that you will need to provide your own screws.

This brace is sturdy, however, the angle portion is not welded or connected in any way and it fell apart when i used it. I thought it was a bad part and I ordered another, however, the new part was exactly the same.

Just what I was looking for, center support adds excellent stability. Used for heavy outside window boxes.

The removable strut is really cool. Made access to mounting screws a breeze. Struts snap back in place after install and makes it really sturdy. great product.
