We should have replaced these sooner. At this price and ease of install, there’s no reason to put it off. I can’t comment on longevity, but these have been in for 2 months and work exactly as advertised providing plenty of lift.One recommendation: can be done as a one person job, but will be much easier with two. One person can hold the hatch open while the second pushes it into place - it’s a snug fit.

Quite frankly I was pretty skeptical about purchasing these struts, But I figured for $20.00 bucks I couldn't loose to much. Well, I have to say I was amazed at the quality and strength of these struts. It took me less then 10 minutes to install both of them on my 2004 Sante Fe. I was going to purchase them from one of our discount auto parts store, but they didn't have my size in stock, and they would have cost me almost $100.00. So I got online and stumbled across these, and they are perfect. Now it's hard for my little wife to pull the hatch down. I don't care if they only last a year, it is worth it to me. Once again the quick shipping great, had them in like 2 days.

This product arrived on time. The product is packaged and packed well inside a shipping box - so no damage or bent unit. The item comes with a one page instruction sheet though I didn't use it. Easy to install - just make sure you prop the gate so it will not fall on your head when you remove the old liftgate strut. You need a soft mallet or hammer the end parts to the ball unit, otherwise you can use the screwdriver and plier to remove and reinsert back the pin. $20 and a 20 minutes of your time is all you need to keep your vehicle liftgate working. Recommended for Hyundai Santa Fe 2001-2006.

I had the dealership replace the hatch lifts in my Hyundai Santa Fe seven years ago for over $200. They worked for 3 years. These inexpensive Maxpow lifts installed so easily, in under 5 minutes, with just a screwdriver needed to remove the clips. Powerful! You will definitely need both hands to close the hatch, at least at first. Saved myself at least $200. Very happy with these.UPDATE 6/22: These lifts are still working perfectly after nearly 3 years. Great product.

bought a pair of Maxpow for my suv 2 yrs ago. still work great. my daughter had a hatch lift go out and the hatch wouldn't stay up on it's own. I bought these for her and installed them.now it pops open cleanly, and she needs both arms to push her tailgate closed.

These were amazing! So easy to install but be prepared, you will need to close your rear door with both hands at first because they are really strong. Will definitely buy these again if the need arises. I used them on my Hyundai Santa Fe. Much cheaper than the auto parts stores that want $50 for each piece.

SUV tailgate wouldn't stay open. Head got sore holding open. New ones an Inexpensive fix. Easy to remove old ones, easy to install new ones. Stupid for waiting to replace. New ones work great !
