I was hesitant because I couldn't picture any doorway pull up bar holding my weight or being sturdy but this particular one did. I'm 6'1 210lbs and have been using this for 5+ months now, 3 times a week and it's in perfect condition. Not only is the pull up bar in perfect condition, the door and and the doorframe show no damage or any marks. Highly recommend. Customer service is also A+.

The description of the product is totally deceiving. There are no protective pads, the contact surface is made of hard plastic. They did scratch the door frame and the 2 hooks damaged the wall paint after the first workout! I am renting and now I will have to pay for the repairs... I will return this garbage.

I've tried about half-dozen doorway pull-up bars in the last twenty years and I can emphatically state that this bar is the best amongst them. Very light but durable with black powder-coating, it features a dual cantilever design that innovatively and securely hand the bar. It is not completely mar-proof as with any bars of these kinds as you will put small dents and get small paints chip off, but of all the bars that I've tried, this one fairs the best with the least amount of damage.The bar certainly helped me daily workouts during the pandemic so far.

This is a great quality chin-up bar at a surprisingly low price.I have not seen any marks on the door frame as a result of using it, but then I'm also not swinging or bouncing from the thing.I discovered that doing chin-ups and pull-ups can be tough on the body, especially for someone who's older and/or somewhat out of shape (I'm guilty on both counts). If you're in one of these categories, you can still use this chin-up bar, but you may want to cheat a bit and put a step stool under it. That will allow you to still get some great exercise, but not strain key points like your elbows. This way you can build your muscles up slowly, to the point where doing chin-ups won't cause injury.Also worth noting: this is a straight bar. It's very nice, but you can't use some of the hand positions that the more expensive bars allow.

Pretty solid door frame pull up bar, so far. That being said, the product was shipped with damage from use. Definitely was used before hand.

I am 5'7" so am able to leave this pull up bar remain in place (you can walk under it). It took me an number of efforts before I was able to actually do the pull ups (I am 76 years old), but once I was able to do it, I feel much better and do it daily (3-4 pull ups per try).

The model just doesn’t acclimate to different threshold models.

It seems to be well built for a home workout and I like the fact that it was easy to remove the top bar without compromising the integrity of the device, so I had more sturdy platform for weighted chin-ups.

Very sturdy bar, no assembly required, takes my weight and then some easily (max 200kg/440lb).Mine came with what looks like an upgraded model, with wide grip bar ends, slightly curved downwards like you would see on a Lat pull down bar in the gym, Also came with the neutral grips in the middle as well. More than wide enough for preforming both the chinup and pullup with hands on the inside of these neutral grips. if you want to. Really good door frame protection in the form of very sturdy dense foam type material, that slides over the end of the bars to whatever your door frame width is. All in all and very well made product and happy to recommend to others.

Came with firm foam padding that makes it very adjustable and caused zero damage to the door frame. Much more robust than the last bar I had and easy to install. Seems well built and should last a long time.
