Keep the iceberg lettuce fresh.

When I bought this Rubbermaid Freshworks Saver, I didnt realize it didnt come with the green drain shelf. Rubbermaid is an excellent company so I decided to give this a try. Needless to say, I was so surprised at how it has kept my fresh spinach FRESH. I put fresh spinach in this container two weeks ago and there is not one wilted leaf. I dont have to worry about the drain/strainer shelf anymore. Im perfectly content with this product and really overjoyed. I buy a lot of produce RFS preserves my produce much longer than I would expect. Even berries dont spoil as quickly in RFS containers. Sometimes I just make an abundance of food for the week, and my cooked foods also stays fresh. I have the original RFS containers and I now these (which are less expensive) and please with both. COVID has caused many of us to use our money wisely. The is an excellent addition to the wise shopper, cooks, and chefs in any family

AMAZED! I use this to store my spinach that would normally go bad or get soggy after a week and I would store it in a zip lock with paper towels. This container is FANTASTIC!My spinach lasts for 2 weeks or longer. There is quite a bit of water condensation on the lid if it sits closed for a bit so be careful when opening. And I had to toss a few top leaves away. But that surpasses the food waste of the whole bad! I have already purchased these containers in smaller sizes and love them more. They do have small inserts to keep food off the bottom. Well worth the money and not wasting food!

I ordered 5 of these. They seem to help my vegetables stay fresh a bit longer, and I like how they look in my fridge - it's much easier to tell what we have now, as opposed to before when everything was in produce bags or stuffed in the crisper drawer.The inner bottom of the container is covered with small bumps to help keep your produce from sitting in water. This is effective but it can be difficult to clean in all the little cracks.Lastly, one of the lids I received does not seal properly on the container. It fits and will sit on top, but the rubber seal must be defective because it'll fall off very easily. This isn't a huge issue since the containers just sit in my fridge anyway, but it would be nice if they all worked properly.

I am super impressed with this unit.Following the directions of placing unwashed and uncut lettuce in the unit, I traveled unexpectedly shortly after.18 DAYS LATER. I had a little browning on some of the top edges of the lettuce leaves. (See pic) But no slime and the lettuce was still crisp. I absolutely think this is worth the money and a great product.
