They are orange in color, not sure if that's what you mean by coated.

Is it normal for these to be coated in yellow powder?The capsules seem full, but why the yellow coating that comes off all over my fingers?

I have not experienced the powdery coating that you mention. The pills do turn one’s urine bright yellow, but I believe all riboflavin capsules do the same.
