Really good book.

This is perfect for those who have little to no first aid training. It starts with basic first aid knowledge like how to take blood pressure readings, pulse, temperature, etc. It has handy supply lists at the end of the relevant chapters. It moves onto the more traumatic types of injuries with basic steps to help "stabilize" the patient. The rest of the book deals with general preparedness for various types of emergencies mostly natural disasters with a section about pandemics. Unfortunately, I didn't see any section dealing with social unrest or anarchy which I thought would be very relevant to most urban settings today. I would label this book a well done beginners book. Possibly a nice review for those with more advanced medical knowledge. This isn't going to teach how to suture a wound or drain an abscess. If you are up to that level, this book tells you to do an in person emergency first aid and survival training course.
