Q: how many bacteria are in this formulation? How many CFUs?

There are no bacteria. This is a PRE-biotic not a PRO-biotic. The difference is as follows: PRO biotics are the bacteria PRE biotics are the fibers that our bodies cannot digest, but that our GOOD bacteria (PRO biotics) can/do digest & that our bodies need them to digest so that they (the friendly bacteria) can do all the functions they perform in human health. This product is a man made version of a specific PRE-biotic fiber found in human breast milk that feeds either one or more bacteria which I can only assume is/are unique to or important for human health. Think about it like this - if the only living thing that can digest a particular fiber made by human mothers in human milk is a bacteria friendly to us, then supplementing that PRE-biotic fiber can only help whatever that bacteria is, and if it wasn't good for humans, we would not produce it's required food in our milk. Forgive my over explaining. I call it Karinsplaining

Q: Where are the ingredients ?!

The Active ingredients : Proprietary formulation (2’-Fucosyllactose, Lacto-N-neotetraose), and the Inactive ingredients : Choline Bitartrate, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Magnesium Silicate, Coating (Hypromellose, Polydextrose, Titanium Dioxide {color}, Talc, and Coconut and/or Palm Kernel Oil), Crospovidone, Magnesium Stearate, Sodium Starch Glycolate, Silicon Dioxide, and Stearic acid.

Q: IB guard makes my acid reflux worse. Has anyone had the same issue with this?

I take pantoprazole, so can’t say about IB guard and reflux, but it did drop my blood pressure and pulse significantly! Apparently not only stomach muscles are getting relaxed. Had a weird pain all over my upper stomach area as well and could hardly move with such a low pressure! Stopped ib guard, moved to this Culturelle- so far so good. I am 50, 5.6, 184- female

Q: Do I have to ask my doctor before I use this?

It's always wise to talk with your doctor about any changes in medications and supplements you may choose to use. Just FYI: This product didn't work well for me. I took it for a week and was worse off than without it.
