Simon & Garfunkel - Guitar Play-Along Vol. 147 Book/Online Audio

I find the book manageable for my skill level. Some music books I have purchased I may only can or want to play 1 or 2 songs. This book have a number of songs that I can and want to play. I haven't got around to trying the play-along so can't comment on that. Happy with the purchase.

All the songs printed in this book are all accurately transcribed. So if you are one of those people who would like to play original Simon & Garfunkel finger style guitar songs, this book will give you some of the most well-known pieces to try out. However it does not include 'Bridge over troubled water' as mentioned by one of the reviewers here. Still in my view ( and also from hearing what Paul Simon said in one of his old interviews ) that 'Bridge' song is more of a piano based song rather than guitar,which could be the reason why it was not included. If you would rather have a book for general chord strumming and piano scores without attention to too much accurate details, I think, The Simon & Garfunkel Collection could be the better choice. At least in that book, 'Bridge over troubled water' ( Piano score is good) is included along with many more popular songs like America, The 59th Street Bridge Song ( Feelin' groovy) etc. Happy playing !

Diese Sammlung von Songs von Simon und Garfunkel kommt mit Melodie und Rythmusnoten und TABS daher und ist geeignet für etwas fortgeschrittene Spieler die Lieder nachzuspielen. Leider sind "Bookends" und "Old Friends" nicht enthalten, die mir eher für Anfänger sind. Die CD ist für das Üben geeignet.

Recently, I purchased a no-longer sold Fender GDEC3 thirty watt amp which has as it's main feature the ability to play backing tracks from it's SDCARD slot. It came with a collection of all of the GDEC3 "Play-Along" Book/SD sets that were available for it.Unfortunately, since Fender cancelled this GDEC3 amp, I have to create my own SDCARDS for it. Using iTunes on my Mac, I set iTunes General Preferences/Import Settings to Import Using WAV encoder so that when I insert the accompanying CD backing tracks, they are Automatically Imported into iTunes as WAV files. I then copy them by simply dragging them out of iTunes and into the Audio folder on a GDEC3 formatted SD card.After that, I can play along with the backing tracks directly on my GDEC3 amp!It's a wonderful way to learn new guitar music.
