Holy Crap Batman, I can't afford this light! It takes 8 "C" batteries I installed on Jan 20th 2017- 01/07/17 the eight batteries were completely Dead on March 7th 2017- 3/07/17. Eight durecell copper top batteries every 47 days. pretty expensive. We even only had it on the 2nd lowest setting. I will say, it does a good job of lighting whatever you want, just only do it when you are having a party or want to show off a picture. Mounted to wall as it is quite heavy with 8 "C" batteries. Nice looking as well. Works good , just consumes batteries like a Labrador eats bones.:-)

Didn't realize lights would reflect in picture. Would be better for painting.

I have purchased a dozen of these items in various lengths and finishes. They are perfect for my needs in providing subtle lighting for my artwork and photographs. The quality is high, installation is easy and the style works with my victorian decor. My only complaint is that one of the lamps did not have a set screw or the hole for a set screw. Further that one package did not have a remote. I do not know how the quality assurance inspector failed to notice these deficiencies but that is how the package was received.

I recently purchased this picture light and like it very much. Unfortunately, the remote control broke. A spring inside of it where the batteries go popped out and now it does not work. I am trying to reach the manufacturer to see if I can get a replacement, but can't find contact info anywhere. The light is on a high wall above a piece of art and without the remote it's very challenging to try to get on a stool and reach it to turn it on. I am hoping if anyone reading this works at this company can you please contact me? Thank you!!

Not very happy! First time I used it , it turned off every 10 minutes. The remote worked a few times then quit working. It’s a very nice looking product. When it worked, it was nice light for my dark painting. Very expensive for such a poor working product.

I bought this item to put over a picture in my bathroom. And, of course there was no plug to plug a corded light into. So, I went this route. It works great over the picture and the remote control lets you adjust the lighting to different levels.

It's easy to install on the wall. Proabalymtoo heavy for a frame. Once someone understands that the LED should provide light as warm as an incandescent bulb, I'll be more enthusiastic about them. When I installed the 8C batteries and turned this light on, I saw a light from and office or hospital. Cold, bluish, sterile.

While this might work for small pictures or something barely larger than the light itself, it doesn't have enough light output to stretch the full length of a larger painting.
