A great man.
This book is a great book to read. It will show you the hardships of our country, and its freedoms. Recommended for you who need enlightenment of our government. And also, vote for who shares your ideas, not for their gender or skin color.

Information and Easy to Read
Normally, I tend to stick with fiction in my reading. While I am reading this for a children’s literature class, I found this book to be very informational, easy to read and understand, and enjoyable. With a combination of the personal and political life of James Madison and Dolley Madison, this biography has increased my interest in biographies in general, but especially about the founding of the United States of America and the years following. Great book! I will definitely be reading more books like this!

All about our 4th president
James Madison was the fourth president of the United States and one of the founding fathers. The Great Little Madison is the story of his life from his frail beginning through The Federalist Papers and the presidency and retirement. The book is well written with lots of information while also keeping the reader captivated. As it is aimed at kids, I am sure there is much that is skipped or glossed over, but for an introduction to Madison, it is excellent and I highly recommend it.

A nice look at Madison and the Founding
This book is a nice intro to the American Founding for middle school students. While focused on James and Dolley Madison, the book covers in accurate detail the Articles of Confederation, the Constitutional Convention, the early presidential administrations, The Louisiana Purchase, and the War of 1812. I read it with a small group of 7th graders. It kept their attention and led to some good discussions. Great for a program like mine that blends ELA and social studies.

A Great Read!
I read The Great Little Madison on my new Kindle-White Paper and enjoyed it very much. I found it to be a little on the light side and I finished it with regret that it seemed so quick. Then I discovered it was a Juvenile edition, yet I did enjoy the book greatly. Well written with a great sense of being there and participating in history. I'll be reading more Jean Fritz books in the future.Terry Wright
