Makes soldering very very easy
I've never previously used products like then when soldering wires. As a result, I've had difficulty getting the solder to stick to my targets: the solder just beads up on the tip of my soldering iron and it takes repeated attempts to get the solder to go where I want it to go. With this product, when I apply the solder wire to the tip of my iron and hold it close the the wires that I want to solder, the solder flows easily onto my targets. What a savings in effort and time. I'm sure people that use this product probably wonder why I haven't been up to speed. Be advised that this product is specific for soldering electronic things. You cannot and must not use the common flux that is used for soldering pipes.

Solder flows easily with minimal effort (and solder for that matter)
Very pleased with this; A dip in this makes solder wick easily into stranded wire when tinning, leaving a well-tinned but not overly saturated wire ready for soldering into terminals.Wire does need a proper cleaning following use as it can be sticky. Also, I may consider purchasing the no-clean formula but I still highly recommend.Lastly, I’ve written to Craig with support questions on other products offered and they’ve been very helpful. A trustworthy brand.

Burns at 300c+ and is very sticky.
This solder doesn't seam to like lead free solder. I tried to solder with lead free and this flux barley works when heated properly. It creates black tarnish and carbon flakes. Doesn't remove anything, and make a layer of goo in which the solder won't make a bond with the copper because it repels it like hydrophobic materials. And I can't solder to aluminum or other conductive metals either. The only thing it is good at is cleaning my iron.

Makes precision flux application a breeze
I co-worker tipped me off to this stuff. The main attraction is how the flux is gelled, such that great precision can be employed to get the flux exactly where it's need when attaching surface mount parts. Anyone who's used liquid flux for rework will know exactly what the problem is.We like to keep the foil seal on the product's cup, dipping a pointed swab stem into the gel through a hole in the foil, and then touching the SMD pad needing the flux.
