Useful large kitchen or serving board.
Although the "Wabi Sabi" design of a small insert in a crack in the board is a bit odd, it doesn't detract from its usefulness. It's big enough to serve a good selection of cheeses, meats or vegetables at a buffet, or on the table. The mango wood construction is light and strong, with an attractive grain. My only caveat is that the grain of the wood was raised slightly after its initial wiping with water on arrival, making the surface feel slightly roughened. Although the instruction label correctly told me not to soak it, I only gave it a quick wipe. I am, therefore, going to sand the surface down with a fine paper and then oil it with olive or grape-seed oil. (I've done this with older teak cutting boards and this treatment protects the wood well for years, even after cleaning. I just have to be patient while the oil dries to a fine satin finish. ) The oiling will bring out the grain of the wood nicely, making it look better on the table and keeping it hygienic. I can't comment on the price as one isn't shown yet. But this board is generally well made and has a very useful size.

Nice but not convinced it makes sense
Overall, this is a very nice addition to my kitchen. It’s a very nice, chunky chopping board that is both weighty and versatile. The main issue I have with it is that the design seems to open it up to flaws. The notch and holders, while working from an aesthetic perspective, creates small gaps, into which, food can very easily get stuck. While this is relatively easy to clean for most foods, I still have concerns about the level to which bacteria and other similarly unpleasant dwellers can thrive in the space.

Too stylish to use as a chopping board, makes a very attractive serving platter.
KitchenCraft Serenity Chopping Board: This chopping/ serving board is a good size (approx. 10.5 x 15ins) so provides a great surface for serving food and amply large enough for use as a chopping area. I’ve always been a little concerned in regards the hygiene of wooden chopping boards, however have recently read in a couple of places that wood is a naturally inherent antibacterial substance and that wooden chopping boards therefore are less likely to harbour bacteria than plastics, ceramics and glass. That said it does still need to be kept spotless - this board should be hand washed in hot soapy water and ensure it is dried properly, as much to prevent it from drying out and cracking as anything else.Mango wood is lovely and can be quite unique in its colouring as it varies greatly from piece to piece. I’m not convinced by the design details but I guess it adds a little originality to the product and makes me want to use as a serving platter rather than spoil it by chopping on it. Very nice addition to my kitchen.

Love The Wood Grain and Solidness Of It
I loved the look and feel of this natural mango chopping board initially, the solidness of it, the wood grain and the 2 carved bow design finish in the wood made it feel authentic. The size is great and the handle has a hole for hanging. It all shouted quality and I didn’t want to use it for chopping or washing it for fear of it being marked but this didn’t last long and it stained very quickly from fatty meat on the board (which wasn’t cut on the board but left to rest – again, not me, the hubby not thinking) – I washed it repeatedly in warm soapy water but those stains are not coming out.I thought it would be ideal as a cheese platter serving board and then wouldn’t need extensive washing but I still think it’s a really nice board – pity it marks so easily and pity it doesn’t wash out either.
