Waterproff - does the job well!
The snaps that wrap the device under the shoe is completely irrelevant. If that's what people are complaining about, they're missing the point. The snapping feature is nice, but not necessary. I don't even use the snaps; I tuck the flap with the snaps up under the rubber. The parts that attach to the toe and heel are adequate to hold the shoe covers onto the shoe. These shoe covers are perfect for riding a bike in the rain. I've always had trouble with wet shoes while riding in the rain, and this product solves that.

Worthless product
The velotoze shoe cover ripped apart when I tried to put it on the first time. I put it on my ankle, as stated in the directions, then as I was stretching it over my shoe it ripped apart. Never even got it outside! Junk. Do not recommend.

Excellent inclement weather covers
These are one of the few overshoes that work in wet weather. Easy to put on, wind/water proof and great aerodynamics compared to other shoe covers (since they fit skin tight). As a size 44.5 (11 US) shoe I got the Large which are perfect. They are snug once on but not so tight you can't easily get them on. Anyone complaining about having issue putting them on are not following the directions since they are super easy to get on if you put them on before your shoes and roll them down on your shoe once you put it on. They can get warm since they don't breath but I personally only use them for cooler rides. If it's raining and warm, just wear nothing and dry out your shoes after the ride.

Nice concept but still needs work.
Plastic snaps no longer work after a couple of rides. Easier to put on but the snaps are on the bottom of the shoe where you put your foot down. Mine only laster two rides with stopping at red lights.

Yeah, these might just work as prescribed.
The short answer: Buy them if the goal is dry feet, or read on... I ride a road bike and I try to not let the rain deter me from a ride. So over the years, I have tried various clothing to keep me dry. I can tolerate being wet, but cold wet feet and hands, on any 2+ hours ride can take the fun out. Wet with sweat is no different, and I take issue with some companies' "breathable" fabric marketing claims, but that's another story. Anyway, I have tried many top cycling brands shoe covers that claim to keep your feet dry with - glued seams, taped seams, neoprene, or the latest water-repellant fabric. None have worked for me so far. Regardless of the water repellency of their magic fabric, if the seams are not taped/glued you're wasting money. If the seams are taped/glued, then great! But wait, my feet still got wet...so what gives? Well depending on the amount of rain, ride duration, water spray from the road, I found the water would build up and run down my legs and seep through the top of the shoe covers, and my feet are wet and cold again. This Velotoze shoe cover also creates a tight seal high above my ankle, so I think they might just be the solution I have been looking for. Also, tape up any venting under the shoes and you should have warm and dry feet! No rain yet, I will update if I find any issues.

Snap broke on and the toe tore on the first ride. I was careful.
Getting them on and off was not difficult. However, one of the snaps broke and one of the toes tore on the first ride. Had to tuck the sides in to prevent flapping. Sadly, these will go in the trash as I missed the return window.

Dry feet!
I finally had a chance to test this product and I’m happy to report that it kept my feet dried the entire ride. I could feel the water sliding over the silicone booties. I wore long socks in case water would find its way though but it was unnecessary. The silicone attached to my legs and stayed in the same place the entire ride! This is game changer; I don’t mind riding in the rain as long as I can keep my feet dry
