After using the stovetop method and a silicone microwaveable bowl for years, I bought this for my wife this Christmas. It works very well. Easy to clean, easy to use.The popcorn has an excellent texture, and when combined with some Flavacol it gives you the authentic movie theater popcorn you always want at home.Recipe:1-2 tablespoons coconut oil1/2-3/4 teaspoon Flavacol1/2 cup of kernels1. Heat the oil until it melts in the pan and covers the bottom2. Add the flavacol salt / seasoning to the pan and swirl it around a bit to mix3. Add the kernels (warm pan but not hot) and toss and swirl a bit to coat4. Periodically swirl to keep coating the kernels until it starts popping ( a few minutes while it heats up )5. Once it starts popping, steadily swirl the popcorn until you encounter resistance, do not force the swirling handle.Done and delicious!

Orders this to replace my older version with the plastic parts, this is great! The die cast parts will hopefully last longer.Only draw back, my partner put it in the dishwasher (he wasn’t paying attention) and the pot came out VERY dull. Our fault for the error in washing, otherwise it’s the perfect popcorn maker.

love love love it! I'm pretty sure this will be my number one favorite product purchase of 2018. I would not normally buy aluminum cookware, but choose the aluminum version after reading comments by people who had problems with the stainless steel. If you like popcorn, this is a fantastic product, and it makes amazing kettle corn (I used the recipe from the Martha Stewart video on YouTube: 5 tablespoons oil, 1/4 cup sugar, and sprinkle with salt only AFTER popcorn is finished and has been poured into the bowl). It helps to have a really huge bowl to shake up your popcorn after it's cooked. I also ordered the Flavacol at the same time which gives the popcorn great salty flavour, but go easy, it's very salty.

Love it!! It’s made from very thin aluminium (the base and the top), however it feels very well made, I’m guessing the material is so thin to help pop the popcorn quicker. This will not work with an induction cooktop, however Makes amazing popcorn! 🍿😍
