Oculus Rift S PC-Powered VR Gaming Headset

He had a set that went bad after 3 years. Parts weren’t available. I waited until Prime’s 2 day sales and save over $100. I wore this VR set watching a roller coast ride. I was in the front seat. The graphics were very good. The VR ride made me dizzy and was so realistic. I get sick on real roller coast ride. I had to get on my knees because I felt I was in the seat. If you haven’t view through a good VR your missing a great adventure. There are cheaper and expensive one. This is the second best for the price out there. The boxing game will beat your butt!

Ugh...the hours I spent debugging why my headset would disconnect, not connected at all, say my display port not working, USB not working, and it was all because it didn't get enough power from myother board USB ports. I kinda wish they would of made it more obvious that a PCIE card may be needed to run this consistently. The oculus app is also somewhat annoying to deal with as you have to get a third party solution just to tell it to not open automatically. But besides that and the draining batteries on the controllers (enigizers don't last no more than a week) it is a fun experience to have in vr. No extra trackers or cameras needed.

I bought this for my 15-year-old son and the quality is amazing hooks up right to his PC and overall just a great headset

The display of the VR headset did not work! black screen, spent hours trying to get it to work but finally came to the conclusion that sadly I was sent broken product. will not be ordering from this company again.

The box arrived on time, neatly packaged, and undamaged. All 3 pieces are perfectly functional.

It is important to install the Oculus S software from Oculus 1st, reboot PC, then make sure the Oculus Icon on the Screen Desktop is double left mouse clicked. Verify that you have Green indicators for the VR Headset and 2 wireless hand controllers. If the VR headset indicators are Red, unplug both the Display Port and Blue USB 3.0 plugs at the back of the PC. Replug them back into the PC back. The Blue USB 3.0 plug MUST be plugged into a Blue USB 3.0 Jack on the PC back, ONLY. No separate USB Hub, even a USB 3.0 Hub, can be connected. The USB 3.0 Plug on the VR Headset REQUIRES a PC POWERED USB 3.0 connection from the PC system board jack on back of the PC. If the PC is underpowered, a separate PCIe USB 3.0 Expansion Card might need to be plugged into the PC Motherboard (system board.) A separate AC jack POWERED USB 3.0 Hub can be used as an option also.Once you have ALL Green indicators for VR Headset, Controllers illuminated, The Oculus XR Runtime driver software is working. That's when you then go into Steam VR or Oculus VR gaming apps.

This was basically a waste of money; this Oculus Rift S has so many bugs and crashes and needs to be started over constantly, and now it's saying it needs to be set up again. I wish I had not bought it, but the only reason I did was because my son wanted something that would work with Roblox. We waited so long to be able to do this and it is a sheer disappointment 😞
