Excellent clean sound
This amp is GREAT! It is powering some B&W bookshelf speakers in my master bathroom and I couldn’t be happier with the sound! Great deal

lacking alot
i wanted to like this. i downsized my PC desk and I couldn't use my Pioneer Elite amp anymore. I wanted a small amp and I heard a lot about these. I got my desk setup a few days ago and set this little amp up on my Klipsch bookshelves which sounded super fantastic on a powerful amp. I was very unimpressed It was like that hyped-up video game release and you play it and go aww this sucks...... The sound is nothing like my amp. so blah plus mine has issues with the optical so the sound cuts out a lot. this amp is def going back. I ended up buying a set of edifiers.

I Love This Little Amp!
I purchased the FOSI DA-2120B Amplifier as part of a small room stereo system for use along with some existing small JBL loudspeakers, a CD player and an higher-end MP3 player. So far, I am very pleased with this amplifier's performance, especially given its relatively low price. I used the FOSI to replace an old Sony desktop sound system receiver with diminishing sound quality. The significant improvement in sound balance, definition and clarity using the FOSI was immediately apparent upon power-up, and it improved even further after eight hours and more of use. While rated as a 100 Watt amplifier, I would tend to classify it as around 35 watts per channel rms in the real world. This is certainly enough to drive most small and medium sized loudspeakers to stout levels. That said, if you are a bass freak with large, inefficient loudspeakers needing lots of power, then this may not be the amplifier for you.The digital readout shows which input is in use: Bluetooth, auxiliary (analog stereo), optical SPDIF, or coaxial SPDIF. One criticism is that the input jacks at the rear of the amplifier are not well-secured to the case. Inserting a phono plug deflects the amplifier's associated jack inwards slightly, suggesting that the jack is only secured by its solder connections on the circuit board. If so, this might cause problems later after numerous or forceful input disconnections and reconnections. In terms of performance, the audible background noise level is good, though not spectacular. At normal volume settings I can hear some hiss with my ears around six inches away from my relatively efficient loudspeakers. I do not hear this noise at normal listening distances, however. I also noticed slightly more noise in the form of a rumbly, pulsing digital sound when using the optical and coaxial digital inputs. Again, I could not hear this noise at normal listening distances or when playing music or speech. All source devices were muted or turned off for these tests.I suggest muting or powering down sources you are not listening to when listening actively to another source. Some slight crosstalk might otherwise be heard at normal listening distances. I hear no clicks or pops when turning this amplifier on or off.The mini loudspeaker binding posts might be hard to work should you have large hands. Quality banana plugs to connect your loudspeakers are suggested even though the jacks do accommodate speaker wiring directly. If you use banana plugs, make sure their body diameters are not too large to prevent adjacent plugs from physically interfering with one another or even touching (shorting), if metal bodied. On my sample the closest binding posts are on 7/16 inch centers.Bluetooth performance, especially range, has been exemplary. Some of that credit goes to the amplifier's external antenna.Back to sound quality, I find I enjoy listening to music with a new appreciation using this little amplifier. Channel balance is quite good andthe frequency response is wide, though like others have commented, boosting the treble a notch or two can significantly improve performance with some loudspeakers. Bass notes come through quite satisfactorily for me, especially given my small desktop loudspeakers 5-1/4 inch woofers. I find I am hearing more defined loud-to-soft passages (dynamics) within my music, and vocals and individual instruments of all types are easier to identify and to listen into. The DA-2120B amplifier comes with a cute little palm-sized infrared remote control that is easy to use. I did find that the amplifier's remote control also affected my remotely controllable CD player's operation occasionally and vice versa; this suggests that neither device's remote control circuits have been designed with enough interdevice discrimination. The amplifier warms very slightly for me (never hot) when playing my music loud, though again, it is installed in a fairly small room with relatively efficient loudspeakers.Recommended!

Decent sound, some design and engineering usability issues
I purchased this unit to replace an old Denon receiver and use it with an Amazon Fire Cube. I use an HDMI audio stripper to get RCA audio outputs and these are fed into the Fosi unit Aux input. I did not test the bluetooth or other inputs.Remote control functionality was the primary driver in my decision to purchase the unit. While Fosi is not a supported manufacturer for the Cube IR blaster, I was able to program the IR control using the learning function. I wish more of these tiny amplifiers would include a remote, and the one included with the Fosi unit was a decent size with real buttons.Overall the sound quality is very good, with little noise and no discernable hiss from my ceiling mounted B&W speakers even when standing directly underneath them.Unfortunately, this unit did not work for me due to some unfortunate design issues:- The remote volume control only attenuates the input signal in software - it does not change the volume level in hardware. This is not a dealbreaker since I typically use this for streaming TV and radio audio and keep the levels within a small range, but would be unacceptable if I was primarily using it for music.- The main issue: when coming out of standby (power toggle on the remote) the unit does not remember the previous input state, and always goes back to bluetooth input.Hopefully Fosi will fix these issues in future units but for now this one is going back.

Very powerful
Very powerful from a small package amp. The only thing that would make this better would be a second input.
