One side fits inside the other for added security. It is a matte black color with an interesting lightly brushed surface. I think they just look classy. I used this with a braided bolo cord that this company sells to make a wrapped chainmaille necklace. I also wrote a reveiw of the cord I used.As always, shipping was fast, the price was fair, the quality was superb and the item was exactly as described.

I bought this to use as a clasp for a Paracord bracelet that was formerly soldered together. I needed a strong magnetic clasp to ensure the bracelet would stay around my wrist; I also needed a clasp that was small enough to ensure the bracelet would not be too big to the point where it would slide too much. This product was the exact solution I needed! A great buy!

I purchased these to make bracelets and necklaces using paracord. For this purpose, they work very well. Often, it is very difficult to latch a bracelet with one hand. But with these, latching is a piece of cake because the ends are naturally drawn to each other. Also, they hold securely once they are attached.I highly recommend this product. Cheers!

These are very nice clasps compared to others I have purchased. The only negative for me and it's not a fault of the clasp is that they are a little bulky. Also a matte version would be great. I would buy again for certain projects..
