My nephew saw a few sushi making shorts on YouTube and was interested in trying. The kit has everything - we didn't use all of the pieces in it, just one of the molds, the mats, the knife and chopsticks + holders. The chopsticks holders are adorable, little pandas all in different positions. The kit doesn't come with instructions or a list of contents. It's easy to figure out but even a list of what it includes would have been helpful. The knife was nice and sharp but it's of a quality you'd expect in a kit like this so you can't sharpen it very much. We had a fun day making rolls and onigiri. If I were to purchase a sushi kit for myself vs a gift, I would just buy the mats and onigiri mold. But it's a nice complete set for a gift, and the chopsticks holders were a nice surprise and delight.

I had concerns about the product since I saw a few reviews saying it arrived damaged, but my package came in in perfect condition. Everything looks really good quality and im looking forward to making sushi as soon as the rice cooker gets deliver :)

Overall this is a great kit and even for an intermediate sushi home chef. The "bazooka" is particularly fun to use to make rolls - although you need to be careful not to overload the fillings. The Onigiri molds are handy, but be careful when pressing out the finished rice ball as the little springy plastic connectors are easy to break. Press softly to loosen and then shake the mold to drop out your rice cake. The knife is great and keeps friction to a minimum when cutting through rolls - just make sure to wipe it regularly with water or dilited rice vinegar. Use a light brushing of neutral oil in the bazooka to help the rice roll slide out easily. I only needed to apply oil once for two rolls without any sticking. The two different types of bamboo rolling mats are useful (one rounded sticks, one flat). The little panda chopsticks holders are darling (each one is a different pose). Great product!

I am by no means a master or even an aficionado of sushi making but I like sushi. I bought this to make Musubi for the first time. It worked great. Easy to use. There was a slight learning curve with the Musubi press but I figured it out. I would recommend this for any just starting sushi making person. May not be for the expert but it is good enough for me.

This is is a really great kit for sushi making. All the items are a good quality. Only the Rice Paddle & Rice Spreader seem to be a little lower quality. And I don't think they are made of bamboo, but rather wood. There are no instructions in the box, but you can see the videos available on the product side. The panda chopstick holders are super cute. There are 5 of them. There are also 5 sets of chopsticks. You have few sushi molds, which is great. And the bazooka is easy to use. I already made vegan sushi using the kit. It came out great. ( Of course the rice is main ingredients for a great sushi. Sticky, sushi rice brings the best results.) It is easy to clean as well.

This makes making sushi so much easier. We haven't used all the tools yet, but the system is easy to use & clean.

My rice stuck to the machine and wouldn't come out. I was very sad. I made it by hand onstead, it was faster and less mess. I may try again with the machine or I may send it back. I am thinking which to do.
