I bought a pale blue one a year ago. The dial broke and is now unusable. Contacted them but no response as would like to replace outside only.

I bought this slow cooker a few years ago from a store, and exactly the same thing happened to me. I was considering another one,thinking it was a one off,but have seen your review and someone else’s saying the same thing!

So how does it work if it doesn't have a timer? Confused

The cooker comes with instructions. The idea is food is cooked at one of 3 speeds slowly depending on when you want it. I absolutely couldn’t live without my Slow Cooker. When food is cooked you can then turn it to warm which keeps it warm till you are ready to eat.

Is this a rice cooker too

I myself have not cooked rice in this slow cooker but can’t see any reason why it would not work.

Can anyone advise on how long (and on what setting) it would take to cook 1kg of beef topside (fairly well done).

I would cook this on auto setting and leave all day. Meat is very tender when cooked over 8 hours. You can cook this on high for about 4 hours but I prefer the longer time
