I've tried fancy varieties of sardines from Spain, the popular brands like Crowne Prince and King Oscar, as well the budget but still legit varieties from the Philippines -- but this brand produced by Portugal is, by far, the best I've had. I can't articulate what it is, but when I pop open a can of the Blue Galleon sardines, I know I am eating the best I've ever tasted; juicy, scrumptious, delightfully unctuous but clean at the same time. Cannot explain it better than that. I usually just get it in plain olive oil, but I decided to try it with the splash of lemon, and I like it even better! My go-to quick comfort meal is this variety with brown rice and some spicy Sambal Oelek. Delicious and simple.

I received this product in a timely manner with one damaged tin, but the seller quickly resolved this issue by reimbursing me for the damaged tin. The sardines are smell like the ocean to me and taste amazing. I use them with eggs, hollindase, mustard, or mayo. They are also very tasty straight out of tin.

Yuk, really wanted to like these, cod, on its own is great, so is tuna, mackerel, salmon, sardines even. Canned all are great, except cod isn’t. Dried anchovies that leave a bait shop taste in your mouth are better. Even canned cod livers are better than canned cod and those are not so great. But that’s me. Sorry really wanted to like them even with a ton of salt I couldn’t finish a can. Edit added 12/15/2025 Was contacted by Bella for a refund. They get a star for that, and maybe I simply don't like canned cod. Any way appreciate the response even if its been a while since the sale and review

I like mild lemon flavor . They are great addition to salads . Not too salty

These are really really really good sardines. Many times the sardines are only 3 to a can because they are so big and fat. The lemon juice is not overpowering - great with just about any red wine!

These are great Sardines, nice and meaty! One of the better deals I’ve seen for this brand. My only issue is that the packaging was not great so one of the cans was open and leaked oil all over the package. Another can was a little crushed but salvageable so I only lost one. I’ll probably order again so hopefully they’ll do a better job securing the package next time. Overall great product and price
