Reduces time and effort vs. hand-scrubbing, but still requires an effective cleaning product, and the weight of the drill can wear on your hand, wrist, arm, and even shoulder after a while, especially if cleaning vertical surfaces, and/or using a large drill. The pads can also gum up and wear down relatively fast if there is a lot of deposits. Some Tips and Observations: PADS: There’s no difference between the blue and white pads other than the color. You shouldn’t have to apply a lot of pressure for the pads to work. Excessive pressure will wear down the pads (and your arm) relatively quickly, can overheat the drill, and could scuff or scratch the surface, depending upon the surface and cleanser used. I had no issues using the pads on a glass shower door, glazed ceramic tiled walls, and plastic basin. If the pad gums up, flip the pad and use the other side. If they are otherwise still in good condition afterward, throw them in the wash with your rags and/or rugs. Air dry. DRILL: 18-20-volt drills/drivers work well, but their size and weight can be cumbersome and can wear out your arm and wrist fairly quickly, especially if using on vertical surfaces. Consider a compact 18-volt drill, or even better a 12-volt drill (see photos). The smaller size and weight makes them easier to manipulate and handle, and most of today’s 12-volt models produce the torque and power the larger drills did just a few years ago. I find using at higher speeds works best. Have at least one extra fully-charged battery on hand. BIT EXTENSION: Because the pad holder attaches right at the end of the drill, you have to work relatively close to the surface you’re cleaning. Some spattering occurs (although less than most brush-type attachments). To reduce spattering on yourself and drill, consider a bit extension. The pad holder will fit into standard bit extensions, which typically range from 2 to 12 inches in length (see photos for examples). It can also help to reduce bending, and aid in getting at hard-to-reach areas. CLEANING PRODUCTS: You may want to try a relatively safe cleanser first, e.g., Scrubbing Bubbles, etc. If that doesn’t work, or there are significant hard water deposits (lime scale), you will likely need an acid (low pH) due to the base (high pH) properties of lime scale. Vinegar breaks up and dissolves the scale. Consider a solution of 95% vinegar (a mild acid), and 5% dishwashing liquid (surfactant). This is effective for lime scale/soap scum/body oils, and is less likely to damage surfaces, skin, eyes, or lungs vs. harsh cleansers. Avoid harsh cleansers, e.g., KRC-7 Ultra and other products that contain sulfamic, sulfuric, phosphoric, and/or glycolic acids. They can damage surfaces including glazed tiles, metals, etc., your drill, as well as damage or severely irritate your skin, eyes, and respiratory system (especially in small rooms/confined areas). Also, chlorine bleach has little effect on hard water deposits. Avoid home-made concoctions that call for both vinegar (an acid) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), which is a base. An acid and a base simply neutralize each other. The resulting reactive byproducts from this concoction are water, carbon dioxide gas, and sodium acetate, which has no significant cleaning properties. Also, baking soda itself has no appreciable effect on hard water deposits, because both have base (high pH) properties. Spray/soak the surface with cleaning product and let it soak awhile (note: unless you’re using a harsh cleaning product, which could damage the surface if allowed to sit). You may also want to add more product just prior to using the pads. Rinse the surface immediately afterward. Repeat the process if necessary. Regardless of what you use, consider eye/face protection along with non-porous gloves (e.g., nitrile), and long sleeves. Also consider an appropriate respirator. (I use a MSA half-face respirator with acid gas cartridges when using vinegar.) As a minimum, turn on the exhaust fan and/or open the window(s) if available.

So first I gotta say, these things are fantastic. They get the job done, and work especially well for getting into crevices on my car rims! I love them. BUT BE PREPARED... the first time I used these, I used them on my kitchen counter. I put the thing in the drill, tightened it down, plap on one of the sponges (it sticks on almost like velcro), wet the sponge with soapy water and prepare to destroy some counter stains that were too much work to remove by hand... SO. I put the sponge part of the bit on the counter... and turn on... my WAY OVER-POWERED DRILL that just has ONE SPEED... I call the speed of this drill: "OMG OMG WAY TOO FAST SOMEONE HALP OH SWEET JESUS RUN!" It's seriously way too fast. I got this drill as a hand-me-down from my father and I think he got it in the 1980's when they apparently made overpowered, super speed drills that could power an elevator. The thing is insane. SO. Without thinking about it AT ALL. I power it on and........... Water... water everywhere. Water starts flying all over the place. And here's the other thing about this drill... THE TRIGGER GETS STUCK in the ON position... This doesn't happen all the time, maybe even just like 5% of the time. But since I'm apparently the world's luckiest guy, it gets stuck on with this soap and water-soaked sponge on it... Joy... JOOOOOY TO THE WORLD. I did not realize that when I was entering my kitchen with this drill bit sponge combo, I was actually entering the Seaworld Shamoo Splash-Zone. I was completely soaked... and so was my entire kitchen. Here's where it gets even better... I'm soaking wet, soap dripping from my face (because I idiotically picked up the drill off the counter and it got everywhere instead of just spreading horizontally), The drill is still speeding along like Mad Max with a lead foot and no joke, I think this drill could power a small GoKart driven by a small adult or a giant midget. At this point I'm just laughing hysterically at my self like an idiot. I decide to just finished the job and leave the trigger stuck while I clean the counters and now, the tile backsplash in my kitchen, the fridge, the stove, the floor and everything else that got soaked............... including......... wait for it..... my shirt... sooooo... heh... I have NO... Idea... what I was thinking... I was still kind of laughing, feeling like I was in a Mr. Bean movie with invisible cameras around. SO FOR SOME MAGICAL REASON... I decide to put this thing against my soaking wet shirt. Let me tell you... BAD IDEA. It immediately SUCKS in my shirt, I let go of the drill because I basically have to if I don't' want my shirt ripped off, the entire drill starts spinning like crazy till it catches the cord and then creates a giant spaghetti-covered drill-ball till the cord gets yanked out of the wall PULLING WITH my "bucket"/cup of all my kitchen utensils like spatulas, large spoons, etc... the outlet was behind this. SO... everything is on the floor and I just stand there with a drill now attached to my body, still tangled in my shirt... At this point, I'm no longer laughing. I just stand there... probably for about 2 straight minutes... just contemplating my decisions in life. I swear. I didn't even think this combination of events was even possible outside of a Chevy Chase movie... Lessons were learned. But hey anyway this product works great, I highly recommend it! Just... take my advice... use a drill with a "slow" setting... o_o PROS: - Sponges seem to be able to handle a lot. I saw another review that had really torn up sponges... no idea how they managed that. I press them pretty hard against my counters, shower walls and car rims pretty often and besides being a little dirty-looking, they're still holding up. - solid build quality. - Fast and easy to swap sponges. - Fits any drill I've tried it on so far... including a really old one with superpowers. - I was even able to attach some sponges that weren't even meant for this drill bit, thanks to the bit being velcro-ish. This is really great because sometimes I want to use a softer sponge. These sponges are course. CONS: - Besides me being stupid with it the first time I used it, I really haven't found any cons with these.

This product is great for removing light debris. I had hoped to use it on my pool tile however it did not remove any calcium buildup’s. It worked great at removing soap scum but not ideal for cleaning other calcium rings commonly found in a bathroom

🧽 Good power scrubbing sponge—but wish it came with instructions! I used this drill attachment with Bar Keepers Friend to deep-clean my glass shower, and it worked surprisingly well! The sponge didn’t fall apart, and the scrubbing power from the drill really helped cut through hard water stains. 🌀 Things I liked: • The sponge scrubber held up well during use. • Easy to attach to my drill. • Made a big difference on glass and tile. • Cleaner finish than scrubbing by hand. 😬 A few things to note: • It came with white and blue pads but no instructions—I wasn’t sure which one was meant for glass, tile, or tougher jobs. I had to guess. • I wouldn’t say you need goggles, but I’d recommend going slow—cleaners can definitely splash, especially on vertical surfaces. • I wish the pads were labeled or color-coded with guidance. ✨ Overall, this little tool made a big impact and saved my arms. Just know you’ll be doing a bit of trial and error figuring out which pad to use where.

There is one bathroom in my house that is just impossible to clean. Years of grime accumulation that just wouldn't go away. Tried many different brands of cleaner and no cigar. So I bought this with slight reservation: Will it work or is it going to be yet another waste of money? At $14.95 (bought it at full price, no discount, no daily deal) I thought I should just give it a try. In short, it works. I uploaded the before and after picture. Took me two hours. Is it perfect? No. But is it better than using cleaning agent and brushing by hand? You bet. Night and day. What works: 1. Cleans well. No noticable scratches. 2. Easy to change the pad (just pull it and attach new one) 3. I was worried that my drill will get wet from the splash. But it didn't. What I am not too thrilled about: 1. As other reviewers have noted, after only a short time of use, it starts to leave many tiny residues. Using the blue pad I ended up with this tiny blue particles here and there that I have to clean. 2. I went through 3 pads in two hours. I expect the pad to last a tad longer than that. But hey. I got a tough bathroom to clean. It's $15 and comes with six pads. Can't complain. Lesson learned I'd like to share to those who are about to give this a try: 1. When scrubbing, do not press too hard. It is the rotation not the pressure. Think of it as scrubbing gently at 1500 rotation per minute. Pressing hard will damage the pad a lot faster. 2. Wear eye protection. You will get splashed. 3. Elbow grease is still required. I use Dewalt cordless drill. After scrubbing for a bit that thing just gets heavier and heavier. It is no picnic, but at least I got results. All in all, I am satisfied and will buy again. This will be my go to tool for cleaning bathrooms.

This drill brush kit makes cleaning so much easier! It does a great job scrubbing away grime from tile and tubs without wearing out my arms. The different brush sizes are handy for corners and tight spots. My only small complaint is that the bristles could be a bit sturdier for really tough buildup, but overall it’s a solid product that saves a ton of time.

I used this on our shower door glass that had soap scum that I had tried removing with spray-on type cleaners, but none of them removed it effectively. I used the scrub pads with my drill and a little Bar Keeper’s Friend powder and it did an amazing job! I also used it to shine up our porcelain tile and it was just as effective with not very much effort. I was so relieved to see the scum gone because if this didn’t work I didn’t know what else I would try. Did not scratch the glass either. Remember to start from the bottom so that you can see the glass (scum) to know which spots you still need to clean.
