QUALITY!
Top Quality tool that mostly does what it says. VERY comfortable! Easy to move about on smooth surfaces. Needs some sort of tool tray that could be removed when not needed, had to make my own. Works well on light to moderately rough surfaces, not at all well off the pavement. Tall back support means you can lean way back in safety and comfort when working under car with a low lift system. Quick and easy to assemble. Not from China!

Great stool - wretched assembly
The Tail Bone stool arrived promptly, and the shipping carton was in good shape although, after opening the box, it shouldn't have been. Base, seat, and a cardboard box containing the casters and assembly hardware were just dumped in a large carton with absolutely no packaging or cushioning material.I removed base and seat and opened the box of casters and hardware. The plastic bag containing the screws, nuts, and clips was split, and the contents had to be sorted. Several nuts and clips were missing. I called the manufacturer and got great customer service. Upon further inspection, I found the missing hardware buried in the flutes on the bottom side of the base. When I called back to cancel the replacement parts order, the customer service representative told me assembly would be easier if I changed the assembly order. She suggested I should install the casters AFTER fitting the seat to the base. She was right. The problems with fitting the seat to the base earned this chair a 1-star rating. It's a nightmare. You'd better be patient, handy, and you'd better have tools. The holes in the seat, base, and clips (that provide a nut to anchor the screw) have to be aligned - all eight holes. On my unit, the manufacturer's alignment jig must have been off, because the holes looked more like a checkerboard than rows of holes. I also had to chamfer the holes inside and out, seat and base, to clean off the ragged edges left over after manufacturing. The casters are heavy duty and first rate. The screws supplied to mount the casters require a1/4" Allen wrench. Unfortunately, the screw heads were so tight that I had to go through a half-dozen Allen keys before I found one worn enough to fit.All-in-all, what should have been a 30-min assembly job took well over 3 hours. While the Tail Bone hasn't had the test of time, once assembled, it's nice, smooth, comfortable, and just the right (non-adjustable) height. The assembled chair is 5-star; the manufacturing defects and assembly process are 1-star. Net is 3-star.Would I recommend this to someone? Only if I wanted to challenge him.

Good buy
The Tail Bone 5131 arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. It's very large, much larger than expected, however is sturdy and well made. It's size will make it difficult to use in smaller spaces but will come in handy for other jobs. We purchased the stool for low cleaning tasks; for example, to clean lower areas on a wall. The Tail Bone will certainly reduce the need to kneel because you can easily lean and bend to reach those low areas. One caution, if you lean too far to one side you risk tipping the stool. Overall this is a good buy.

Back is weak, tipsy in front.
It rolls nice, weak back support when leaning back to look or work overhead the back of the seat flexes like it is going to break, I'm only 220lb and the back feels weak, the one wheel in the front makes it tipsy if you lean forward to pick up something off floor or when getting in/out of it. It is big, difficult to get into close. Would not recommend.

Well made Tough seat
RECOMMENDEDI would give it 5 stars except for two little annoyances.... The tractor shape is WAY over exaggerated and there are certain bits of the Male anatomy that take clear and immediate discomfort upon sitting (cough cough) Also if you are wearing sandals the front wheel housing will tear your ankle open, just wear socks. Now the good news, I am 6'8" 350lbs and this seat does the job of giving me a somewhat comfy easy rolling work platform, I did add a gel seat cushion for reasons mentioned. It rolls super on rough surfaces. For me getting out of is a little tough. Just picture Sasquatch trying to get up and out of it LOL...I can recommend this seat as it does what it says it will, just watch your goodies, and the backs of your feet....VOTE thumbs UP IF YOU FOUND THIS HELPFUL

Probably awesome for Female Mechanics
I called Dale Adams Enterprises today asking them if they had different seats for these. In about 5 minutes of sitting on one of these, MEN are extremely uncomfortable. They claimed they never heard that before. They must not read their reviews here. They need to flatten out that Nut hump on these a bit. It's PAINFUL.
