Sharks

Wonderful book.. my 4 year old son loves the pictures, he is able to follow up the content too

My nephew's love this book. They are 5 and 4 years old

I bought this book and couple of others in this series for my 5 and a half year old son to read to me. He already had a good grasp of phonics and a fairly good sight vocabulary but unfortunately did not enjoy reading. Of the three or four books in this series that I purchased, he chose this one first. Since reading the very first page I have not had one single complaint about having to read. We have almost finished the book and his confidence has grown with each chapter. We have also had many discussions (initiated by him) about what he has read in the book. Needless to say I am very pleased with this purchase! I would recommend this book as a reader and as a book to be shared between an adult and a child. The chapters are short, a two page spread; the paragraphs are short (2 or 3 sentences at most) and most of the sentences aren't too long. They do not read like a typical scheme book, but more like a 'real' book. The illustrations and photographs are great and allow for lots of discussion even before reading a word of the text. I am hoping that the rest of the books are just as enjoyable!

This is the most read book in the house right now. Great pictures (not too scary) for 3 1/2 year old that's fascinated with sharks. The book gives a nice description of many types of sharks and facts about them are nicely stated.

Daughter loves it!
