Does anyone have trouble with the tablet dissolving completely after first run of cleaning cycle?

If your rubber pad inside of the coffee portafilter is not installed properly the back pressure will not be generated and the tablet might be harder to dissolve completely. Make sure you install the rubber pad correctly and the tab in the center of the rubber pad. There's a groove in the rubber pad for the tablet. Are you using the rubber pad that comes with your machine? It has to be placed inside the coffee portafilter before running the cleaning cycle. If water flows freely down and out of the coffee sprouts then there is no enough pressure in the portafilter to dissolve the tablet and to force the water and the cleaning solution up the group head. The point of using the rubber filter is to create back flow up into the group head to clean it. Sometimes even if you do all of that correctly you need to keep running the cycle until you dissolve the entire tablet.

Can these be used in a drip filter machines like Bunn?

I don’t think so… these are meant to dissolve under the espresso machine’s high pressure, and be flushed out in the same manner. You probably want to consider a descaler liquid if vinegar and/or baking soda doesn’t do the trick.
