PapayaGold Paw Paw Moisturising Lotion with Manuka Honey, 100ml

This PapayaGold Paw Paw Moisturising Lotion has worked really well for our dogs to prevent dried and cracked paws in the winter. It’s a livery scent as well and the dogs don’t seem to mind this going on their paws. It does make them a little more slippery on our floor for a short while after applying, though.

During the pandemic, everyone in my house has been washing their hands on a far more regular basis. This has resulted in our hands becoming drier and the skin more cracked. We have tried moisturisers to try and solve the issue and rehydrate the skin, but nothing seems to last or make much difference. When I saw this cream, I thought it was a worth a try, to see if we can save our hands from the never ending cleansing rituals. This cream comes in a decent sized tube, brightly decorated in red. As for the cream itself, it isn't runny, and it isn't greasy. My dad also applied some to a patch of dry skin on his forehead, and he said it didn't leave his skin feeling wet, as some other creams have a tendency to do. It is easy to apply and it smooths over the skin before being absorbed. It leaves the skin feeling refreshed and full of moisture, which is the intended result. None of us have used it long enough yet to notice any major changes in our rough skin, but for a few hours after application it does leave you feeling softer, and less uncomfortable. It doesn't have an overpowering scent, and the addition of the Manuka honey makes the product feel much more premium. As far as lotions go, this is one of the better ones. I highly recommend it. 5*

I was keen to try this PapayaGold Paw Paw cream with manuka honey as my hands are extremely dry and cracked. I'm a carer so constantly washing my hands after changing ppe and using lots of hand gel. Applying this cream is very easy, it's quite thick so does take a while to soak in and left my hands feeling quite sticky. Although it did help heal the dryness, my hands kept going red and sore when using this and had stinging from it. I never usually get this with any skin product so not sure what caused it. Shame as it does work well for me but I had to stop using it after a while.

The honey is the distinct selling point of this moisturising lotion. In every other respect it’s a very familiar, fairly thick vanilla cream that rubs into your heads easily, leaving them feeling soft, glossy and a little oily. As a moisturiser it’s very pleasant and effective, but I wouldn’t say it was better than a Dove or Nivea cream that’s available for less than half the price per millilitre.So does the addition of honey justify thinking of this cream as special? A little, but not a lot. It gives an interesting tang to the scent- not just a natural honey smell, which is organic and woody rather than just syrupy sweet, but there are also shades of caramel in there as well. It’s a curious smell, more complex than the honey yoghurt smell I was expecting, but it’s also not especially strong. Even straight out of the tube, it’s mild, and only really noticeable from close-up sniffing. It’s not the longest-lasting of moisturiser scents either, and it doesn’t compete at all if another scent like a deodorant is introduced.I’m really enjoying using this cream, and my hands in particular are certainly appreciating it. However at time of writing I think it’s fairly overpriced for one 100ml toothpaste-tube, and not distinctive enough to think of as really special.

This lotion is what I call a real SOS product in that it is something that I will turn to in an emergency. Right from the first moment I tried this I knew it was going to be a saviour to my skin. I had heard good things about this product but was pleasantly surprised at how it really lives up to the hype.I have found as I get older my skin gets drier and being on medication has made it more sensitive too. Even the simplest of things can cause my skin to protest, for example I wear a Fitbit and where the main part rests on my wrist it causes redness and irritation. I’ve put some of this on and straightaway my skin has calmed down. That is only one example and already it has become a product that is incredibly useful for any irritation, heat rash, burns or insect bites. It is non-greasy and has a nice texture which really calms my skin. If you suffered from any dry, sensitive skin this is a great product. I definitely recommend this product.

This lotion has definitely changed my skin. I had dry, dehydrated skin as a result of using really harsh soap bars in the shower. In combination with my bioderma shower gel, this is working to keep moisture in my skin and my skin has surely transformed.This cream is fantastic and I am so glad to have come across this.I have used this a few times for dry flakey patches on my elbows and arms and now I've got just smooth skin.I have used it on my feet as well. My heels were dry and going hard. I used it at night and it soaks into your skin. Also I tried it on my hands which were pretty dry  between my fingers.It made my skin soft and my hands are nice to look at now.It's lightweight but still feels moisturising, calming on sensitised skin, and absorbs quickly.I recommend this lotion as it seems to be lasting ages as only a small squirt is needed.

This lotion has a very nice and sweet smell which makes me want to use it every day. It hydrates my skin very well, I also used it as hands cream and it worked perfectly fine! My skin absorbed this lotion quite quickly so I did not have that feeling of sticky skin, unlike some other lotions I tried before.I have some skin allergies to various beauty products but this lotion did not have any undesired effects on my skin. I did not have any rashes, irritations or itchiness after using this lotion. Therefore, I am convinced that this is a high-quality product.Another note about this lotion is how great it is after shaving. The healing aspect of it really makes the difference if I accidentally irritate my skin while shaving - it recovers much faster while using this lotion. So I am really happy about it!
