This shave cream is very nice! Unlike shave foam (which is fluffy and has a ton of air infused) this is a cream so it’s thick and can clog up the razor a little more.That is not a complaint though. The cream is rich and emollient and babies the skin more than typical shave foam in a can.I like this!

I love the idea of shaving butter or lotion. Being able to see exactly where you’re shaving is a big plus for me. Unfortunately this butter just doesn’t have enough “slick” to it for my taste. I found that I had to apply more than I expected to in order to get the shave I wanted. And when I came in for a second pass with my safety razor, it was as though there was nothing left on my face from the initial application. So I had to reapply more liberally than I normally have to. Even after doing that I ended up with a few more “weepers” than I get with my normal shaving cream. This butter created a little too much drag on the skin, even when I let the razor do the work and didn’t apply any pressure.The scent is nice and fresh, and the product seems to be of good quality. So I think it warrants four stars. It just isn’t the product for me.

My significant other did not like this shave butter. He has to have a clean-shaven face for work. He said that it did not help the razor glide over his skin and that it pulled. He also said that it does not smell great.

I prefer shave gel and butter to cream, as it allows me to see the stubble or hair I am removing more clearly. This works very well for my sensitive skin, and helps give me a close clean shave.
