Nice little chainsaw for the homeowner who needs a great pruning tool. Battery maintains charge well and no need to fuss with gas.

I have many craftsman 20 volt cordless tools so when I ordered this when I became aware of it. I have used it a LOT since my purchase because it is amazingly effective, easy-to-use, easy on batteries, lightweight, and small. It can cut surprisingly large branches, surprisingly easily and quickly. I had used even smaller chainsaws but they did not have an oil reservoir but when I saw that this had one, I gave away the other one and got this. It is easy on oil and I have cut a lot of wood with the original chain with no need for sharpening yet. This is ideal for pruning trees.

This chainsaw was one such item.This year, I finally hit the buy button on this Mini Chainsaw so I could venture into the woods with my family and tag a Christmas tree.After adding some chainsaw oil and slapping in a freshly charged battery, the chainsaw came to life.The chainsaw worked well and made quick work of the Christmas tree. Since we were in the woods with a bunch of downed trees, we spend some time slicing logs and trimming branches off said downed trees.This isn't a gas powered chainsaw, so I wouldn't use this as a daily chainsaw, but if you need to occasionally use it and you already have invested in other V20 tools, it's a great chainsaw to add to the collection.We will be taking it with us when we go camping and off-roading now.

The media could not be loaded. This battery powered chainsaw works fantastic. It easily cuts small limbs and branches with ease. It is very light weight. My saw however leaks the chainsaw oil from the cap, so unsure why that is, otherwise a fantastic product.

Great little chainsaw. The only drawback that I found was that when storing it, you must remember to store it with the oil fill cap facing up. When I first stored it after use, I stored it with the cap facing down and some oil leaked out onto my other tools.I'm really happy with my purchase. I've cut up some large tree limbs with no trouble.The only drawback for me was the price, but it was a necessary purchase.I live way out in the country where big tree limbs often fall into the road, so I keep it in my truck to clear the road hazards quickly & easily!

I purchased this specifically for harvesting firewood while camping and light trail maintenance. I bring 2.0 batteries with me and I have been able to harvest enough firewood for a night. I would recommend buying a set of larger batteries though. The chain is okay but not the sharpest our of the box. Overall seems very well made and it's size makes it easy to pack and carry. Only odd thing is the chain gard does function as break. My Verdict is I'm very happy with the saw and expect go get a lot of use out of it.

I am so disappointed in this chainsaw. Craftsman used to be a brand name that one could trust. Of course that was then and this is now. I don't trust it anymore. The chain stopped cutting after trimming one anemic sapling! Dull like a spoon from my daughter's plastic kitchen! I ordered more chains, not from Craftsman, in the hopes of salvaging this purchase, but as the original chain kept coming lose despite several adjustments, I'm not holding out much hope. It's easy to assemble, easy to start but it is not a good value for the money. And I can't really speak about the battery life, as the chain kept giving me so many problems, I never actually used up the battery in one go.
