Great product but company needs to be more attentive to assembly process.
The first one of these to arrive had a broken edge on this door that kept it from closing. It doesn't function without door closed. The replacement was functional but one corner of the water dispensing selection pad was not fully connected. There were plastic tabs that kept it from fully fitting together. The product is great. Perhaps this is a new company or product that hasn't yet worked out all the bugs. Too pricey not to arrive in perfect condition.

Worst purchase of 2022, you have been warned
The media could not be loaded. Just got home and my Brio has leaked water all over my floors. This is my second Brio and the first one I returned due to a faulty water pump, I thought if I buy the most expensive one they have available that devise should be free of problems, and therefore I decided to give Brio a second chance, needless to say I was wrong. This devise has stolen my peace of mind and my trust in this company I did see the fact that there were a couple of reviews that highlighted the fact that Brio devises are not free of problems, I also did see a couple of people complaining about the same problem I just experienced, but I thought to myself those are isolated cases 1 in 100 boy was I wrong. This Brio devise is clearly not well built, it has leaked water all over my floors will probably have to replace some of my baseboards as the water was soaked by them but my biggest problem is the fact that this is an electronic devise as it is powered by electricity what if it caused a short circuit and a fire... this devise and this brand has really stolen my peace of mind and this is why It deserves the statement of worst purchase of 2022.

HAZARDOUS PROBLEM WITH DRAIN PLUG!
I don't have a full product review. However, I had a unit come in with a defective drain plug. I followed the initial setup guide on the top of the unit. When I followed set 2, installing the water tank and plugging the unit in. The pump primed and the unit started heavily spurting water. On further inspection, I found that the rear drain plug was sheared off. For this being a $380 unit after discounted $449 price tag, I found that the valve was of cheap material. This potentially could have been a serious hazard because the pump was spurting water everywhere and the electrical components are right above this drain outlet. The unit could have potentially caused a fire. All the features seem awesome (that's why I purchased it), but for a high end dispenser, the inclusion of a what seemed to be a cheap $5 part does not give me confidence in the unit. I was so looking forward to using this dispenser.

Brio Moderna Touchless Bottom Load Water Cooler Dispenser
After using it for a year, I figured it is one of the better water cooler dispenser which I ever bought. The hot temp., room temp., and cold temp. touch buttons works well - much better than the push buttons dispenser I had in the past; the buttons broke from the inside after a while. The only thing I did not think about was the sensor which dispense water at the time of purchase. I wish I did not have this feature since it will dispense water inadvertently if I am not careful of my movements surrounding/close to it.

Doesn't cool & touch buttons didn't respond well
Looks great and hot/room temp water worked well but somehow the cold water was always around 78F. There was more than 8" of open space behind the unit to allow for cooling but the cooling light always stayed on. The light on means it was trying to cool but it never actually cooled down to anything close to the set point. Also another issue was with the touch controls. They didn't always respond well and might require several attempts before getting the proper response. One final inconvenience is the night light switch is located on the back of the unit making it more difficult than necessary to turn the light on and off when extra light would be nice. Bottom line is I'm returning this unit and will try another brand.

Temperatures
Cold & Hot Temperatures are accurate. Temperature is perfect for cold water, and the hot water is more than hot for Tea and Coffee.

Well thought out, very convenient
This is a very well designed water dispenser with great attention to convenience and safety.Setup: The dispenser does not require much assembly, mainly opening the water compartment to remove accessories and packaging. The water tube/probe is long enough that I can mount it onto a standard 5 gallon bottle outside on the floor, and then slide the bottle into the compartment with very little risk of spillage. If you have problems with heavy objects, you could plausibly slide it into the compartment in a way that doesn’t involve bearing the full weight.Once the bottle is attached, inside, and power is connected, you can choose whether to preheat and/or precool the water. Heating takes 500W and reaches the target temperature within 10 minutes, while cooling takes 100W and took around 2 hours to reach the target temperature of “39f” in an 80F room. They can run simultaneously or independently. Once the temperature is reached, the heating and cooling elements run intermittently to maintain the temperature. During preheat/precool, the hot water and cool water buttons are red/blue respectively, they turn off after the preconditioning is complete. The room I use this dispenser in does not have a strong electrical system, where even adding 500W can cause the breaker to trip. Since the heater works quickly, I’m ok with keeping the heater off and only turning it on when I need it. For a premium product expected to run passively, I would prefer it to have a water heater with variable power and more stable power consumption. As for cooling, you will want to keep the cooling switch on all the time since it doesn’t use much energy and takes so long to cool. You can set hot water between 174F and 194F. I set it to 174F and used an infrared temperature gun to measure the dispensed water at 160F. Dispensing hot water is quite safe as you first have to press the unlock button before you can press and hold the dispense button, which only dispenses when pressed. The lock times out quickly so it may be a bit inconvenient for intermittent hot water dispensing (eg. making multiple cup noodles?), but the touch controls reliably unlock and can be operated quickly once you’re used to it.The minimum temperature for cooled water is 39F. Cooled water can be dispensed by touching the cool water control, as well as by hovering your hand on the touchless control. My IR temperature gun measured the cool water at 52F – so not exactly at the set temperature but pretty close. The display also shows a live temperature reading when dispensing – in another case indicating 50F when my IR gauge showed 56F. So there will be some disparity but the temperature will not be too far off.I like the contactless cold water which is good for hygiene. The system is well guarded against accidental dispensing, it requires a hand in view and won’t dispense water if the sensor is completely covered – so you can lean on the sensor and be ok. You’re more likely to accidentally press the room temperature or cold water button than activate the touchless sensor. The manual recommends running the ozone function weekly to clean the system. O3 treatment consumes 5W while running and takes 90 minutes, the manual says to not drink the water until treatment is complete. There isn’t a strong smell as the ozone is primarily sent into the water system, this does not appear to be an ultraviolet based system – there is no purple light, opening the water compartment door does not disengage the o3 indicator. Drinking the water immediately after the o3 light turns off, there is a small weird taste but by no means undrinkable. In summary, this water dispenser is pricey but it is well worth the price!
