PolyvineWax Finish Varnish Dead Flat Liter/Quart

Polivine Wax Finish Vanish Dead Flat works well with all my chalk paint projects. I will order this product in the future. It truly leaves a dead flat finish.Update: I just ran out of the product today. I underestimatated the amount needed to finish a chalk painted occasional table. I have another product that says flat poly aqualic on the label. That product looks horrible on the table. I will redo the table with Polyvine Wax Finish Vanish Dead Flat.I absolutely love the finish Polyvine Wax Finish Vanish Dead Flat gives a chalk painted piece. It's move protection than wax. There is no tacky feel after dries. It dries fast. The finish this product leaves over a chalk painted piece is similar to wax without all the work involved when applying wax.I should have placed an order as soon as my bottle became half full. This is the only product that gives me a similar result as wax over chalk paint. I will not run out of this product again. I ordered it in the gallon size this time.I highly recommend Polyvine Wix finish Dead Flat for those looking to create the appearance of wax over chalk paint without the hassle.I paid full price for this product. These are my honest opinions.

The media could not be loaded. I used two coats of satin and one coat of dead flat to protect my wallpaper from steam and water. Went on easily and protects great! No change of color and delivers as promised.

This is a great product to use to seal chalk paint. Chalk paint has some great properties, nontoxic, water based and easy to sand but you HAVE to seal it. Polyvine Wax Finish gives you a smooth clean look and a silky feel that's close to the feel of cured wax. It comes in finishes from high gloss to flat and in colors for a look similar to a glazed piece.Wax also has a strong odor but Polyvine has very little odor and dries in about 4 hours so you can apply a second coat the same day. It also doesn't have as long a cure time as wax.This looks like a milky water, it'll dry clear if you don't let it pool otherwise you'll get a white haze. The first coat I apply with a brush to get into all the corners and curves. To get a super smooth finish, the second coat I apply with a damp finishing sponge like 2-Pack True Applicator, True Even Finish Applicator for Streak Free Finishes (Reusable)Don't keep going over it. Brush or wipe it on and move on....don't go back. It will dry beautifully. Two thin coats are better than one thick one, so if you pour it into your container and it sits out, you may need to add some distilled water.

Pretty good but applies a little frothy.

I used this as a sealer coat over chalk paint on metal. Chalk paint chips incredibly easily over metal, and this varnish sealed it nicely. I painted inside my home - there is a slight smell but not a problem. Cleanup is easy too. I have now used this varnish on several chalk painted wood pieces and love it. It’s so much faster than wax, and there isn’t a month of curing time like there is with wax. I am new using this product so I can’t attest to the durability. I gave it only 3 stars on value only because it’s a bit spendy, but it is an excellent product and I will continue to use it.

Perfect on my chalk-painted kitchen cabinets! I wanted something more durable than wax, and decided to try this after reading so many good reviews. It paints on effortlessly, and dries to a beautiful flat finish. I didn’t want anything the least bit shiny, and this was perfect. So durable also, and completely sealed the paint. It’s been a year and they look just as beautiful!

This product work exactly how I needed it to. I love the flat finish. Easy to work with. I received it from the seller when I should have and it was wrap well. Would recommend this product. I used it to finish graphite chalk paint that I used to have a new look on my old furmica counter tops in the kitchen. They look like stone. The one thing to remember this is a wax so anything cold hot or water drops discolored it until it's dry. But I can live with that!

Favorite seal ever! super easy to apply. dries really fast and doesnt yellow white paint (unless of course you glob it on instead of nice thin coats but I'm pretty sure thats the same with every potential seal) it also is a nice flat. this is my go to seal for any refinishing project!!
