For Half-Height Optic Drives
Worked great in my HPTC case because the tiny power supply only came with one SATA power feed with three power connectors. I had to use the old Molex connector to reach the half-height optic drive connection.

The contacts are movable and did not plug in easily.

Small Power Adapter But Important One!
Got my Slimline DVD player going again in my HP Pavilion Mini-tower PC. My new EVGA PS did not have the right plug but this works great and is pretty low cost too. Glad I found this as I needed my DVD drive just recently and was finally able to use it!

Really needed male molex end
The cable was as described. However, I really needed a male molex end and had to improvise. I'm not sure when you would need a female since power supply is typically female.
