This is not an assembly line product. These are made with pride by a family owned and operated business. When my son was born I looked at my life and thought about what I wanted most for him. I decided that it was for him to enjoy his life. That forced me to take a look at my own life. How could I teach my child to enjoy his life when I had failed to enjoy my own? I decided that I couldn’t. When I was younger I had many jobs but there were things that had been life long loves; these were building things, fitness, martial arts, and grappling. With the support of my loving wife I decided to go all in and combine these things into a business. I decided to name this business The Pain Factory. I envisioned a place where it was okay to be broken. A place where people could come and shed the stress of their daily lives and be rebuilt. The tools we would use would be the things that had been my life long passions. Part of what we do is build our own equipment. It has been six years now and the equipment that we build has become an enjoyable part of my and my son's life. There are still struggles but every night I go to bed looking forward to the next day. Review: Best Grip Machine I've Used. - Build Quality & First Impressions: This grip machine is absolutely bomb-proof. It looks far more impressive in person than it does in the pictures. Heavy-duty beyond belief, smooth as can be, and built to last a lifetime. Assembly took about five minutes. One minor note: part of the base didn't quite fit between two of the brackets on the bottom. I put a towel over it and gave it a few gentle taps with a hammer, and within 30 seconds it was in place. No issue at all after that. What Sets This Apart From Other Grip Machines: Three design choices make this unit stand out, and they work together in a way that really matters. First, it's 30 inches high. Most grip machines on the market are around 24 inches, which forces you to lean forward or bend over to use them. When you're hunched over a grip machine, you almost inevitably start hinging at the lower back and using your back to lift the weight instead of purely training your grip. Second, this unit has no band pegs on the inside of the base. On most grip machines, the band attachment pegs sit right where you want to plant your feet. If you don't do band work (I don't), those pegs are just in the way. They force you to place your feet on the outside of the base, which pushes you even further forward. So with a typical grip machine, you're dealing with a double problem: a low 24-inch height *and* feet positioned on the outside of the base because the band pegs are blocking the inside. The result is excessive forward lean and too much lower back involvement. This machine eliminates both issues. The 30-inch height lets you stand much more upright, and the open base lets you place your feet exactly where they need to be. The combination means you can keep your torso tall and really isolate your grip strength without your back taking over. Third, the weight carriage has a small square plate welded to the top that extends out slightly, giving you a stable, flat platform to stack material on for adjusting the starting height of the carriage. I use 12x12 foam gym floor tiles, but you could use whatever works for you. On most other grip machines, the carriage is just open tubing, which makes balancing anything on top of it precarious. Things shift, tilt, or fall off mid-exercise. That little bit of extra surface area seems like a small detail, but it makes height adjustment effortless and secure. Invaluable. Bottom Line: Couldn't be more pleased. Heavy-duty build, incredibly smooth action, easy assembly, and thoughtful design choices that actually improve the exercise. Highly recommended. Review: So far so good - Very sturdy and easy to put together. The packaging was like I hoped, no room for it to shake around during transport to get dings. With how it feels and how it's built I can see this piece of equipment lasting a long time. Set at a good height so you won't have to lean over much. I'll be getting some more plates to test this out further. Item came faster then the original set delivery date which I can appreciate, just in time for forearm day.

Simple yet effective forearm machine
I really appreciate this forearm grip device from the owners David and Pam, mines just arrived this past Thursday 9/26/24. It was a very easy set up installing the leg base and I pretty much had to go with a few sets and reps. I must say I’m pretty impressed with this very well detailed handcrafted for our machine device, it has a nice finish, it’s lightweight the forearm muscles. I’m also glad that American made The only Improvement that I would recommend the owners work on is simply putting some sort of plastic cap on the top middle stem bar where the plates go on top of so that it doesn’t just look exposed and have a more complete look. Other than that, great job on manufacturing this simple yet effective forearm machine for a really good price, because it’s really hard finding a good machine to work foearmsr and I don’t like using dumbbells or uncomfortable methods for building forearms!

Absolutely perfect - the plate-loaded grip trainer you'll wish you had bought the first time!
Utterly perfect, exactly what a "Bruce Lee grip trainer" should be. The height is much more ergonomic than the cheap trainers. It will accommodate a 45 lb plate. The action is smooth, without noticeable binding or drag. Packaging was first rate (in spite of a flimsy *looking* box). In no way, shape, or form, could I be more pleased with this purchase. In no way shape or form am I disappointed (which is unusual for me and workout gear). If you're looking at plate-loaded grip trainers - this is the one! Buy once, and, well, you don't even need to cry, because this isn't that much more expensive than substantially inferior units (ask me how I know...).

Simple, super effective
Okay, so I have a lot of gym equipment because I am a gym owner. This is the first time I’ve ever gotten a product that looked better in person than it did in the online photos. In terms of construction, this is a simple, refined piece of equipment. Its lack of unnecessary complexity or pointless attempts at “features” makes this a highly effective training tool. The assembly was incredibly simple, requiring a single wrench. One of the attached photos shows that the nuts are actually welded to the frame, giving you one less point of potential failure or needed maintenance. The achievable load seems to maximally be around 500lbs of resistance if you’re using 100lbs plates. I don’t know many people capable of moving that might weight very far. It targets both the intrinsic muscles in the hand and the flexors in the forearm. Time will tell how much this translates into general grip or pinch strength, but it is a wonderful addition to a strength program.

Great Piece of Equipment
Awesome add to the gym. I’ve been looking to add this piece of equipment to my home gym for awhile, to work on my forearms and grip strength. It is a well built, all metal frame, made here in the USA. Look forward to getting to use this in my workouts.
