Super impressive!
I used these aluminum welding rods for a fix-it job recently, and I'm seriously amazed. They worked really well, melting smoothly and sticking perfectly to the surface. Perfect, easy to use and works with a standard gas blowtorch.
I have a hole worn in an aluminium Aircon pipe, which would have been expensive to replace. Pipe disconnected, seals removed, pipe cleaned with 100 grit wet or dry paper. Using a standard gas blowtorch, pipe heated and kept testing the heat until the welding rod material started to flow and fed the rod into the hole. Perfect flow and very similar to soldering. A nice neat job that was pleasing to see. Pipe refitted and Aircon system regased. Sorted.
