Great Product and Unbeatable Price
Can't stress enough how happy I am with this product. Great performance and quality. Saved roughly $400 from buying at the big "Orange" home store. I would highly recommend using this!I have installed 5 floating floors and this is the first time I used this product. Any floating floor I every do will be with this going forward. The product is fantastic. Very easy to work with. The overlap adhesive worked well for me and I had minimal mess from the white balls. Used household scissors to cut this.Installed the cheapest floor I could find (in stores) on top of this. It takes all of the echo/hollow sound out of it. As well as gives nice cushion and warmth. This application went right over a poured concrete floor. The finished piece compared to the bare concrete was noticeably warmer.

Great Value For The Money
This was a recommended product at one of my local "home" stores. It just made more sense to buy it here rather than pay for multiple rolls there.Functionality: Product is straightforward and easy to use.Durable: Kinda hard to answer this since you're only sealing the top side together, leaving bottom open to interpretation. Also when tapping boards together you will occasionally hit against this pad creating a tear. Quick fix duck tape and keep moving.Smell: Nothing overwhelming, if any at all.Adhesive: Once layers are placed together, there is an adhesive strip that bonds them together. This product was super easy to install and super easy to use.

Prep the floor, Lay out the padding in the entire room, seal the cut edges with tape if you can.
This product is delicate. I would NOT recommend you stand it on end. Plan the cuts and the position of the pad. Make a layout diagram if necessary. Have space to cut the pad, as measuring it on the fly is difficult. The styrofoam balls scatter easily from the cuts you make. Sweep and vacuum the debris regularly. Seal any tears in the very tin green thin plastic topside as they occur. Painters tape or the red tape for padding will do. Protect the pad if you will be walking over it to any extent. Take your shoes off if you are working on this material. I would not recommend you have it rising up at the edges. Keep it flat. I stapled it down a bit. that helped to keep it from sliding. Before you start, understand how the sticky tape edge works. Once you are rolling it's hard to go back. Remove any cut pieces and bag them. You may need them later, and they will just create a snowstorm of white balls across the work area if you don't.I like the product, I don't know if it is exactly what I need but it is reasonably priced. My 12mm clickish Laminate went down easily over this pad, but I had to constantly clear away plastic balls. Again the thing the pros know is how to effectively prep and just move on. DIY guys should understand your project is often filled with 'UhhOhh!'s as prep falls behind the desire to 'do something'. It is not always the product's fault when we screw up.I'll buy it again if I can not find another more 'thermal retaining' pad at a similar price.

Worked great under my engineered hardwood floors
This was the best deal I could find for a vapor barrier under my engineered hardwood floors. I have no idea if it’s helping with the sound or anything else, but it was the least expensive version I could find for something that you will never see.. It was easy to roll out And had sticky edges So it could easily connect to the adjoining pieces. It just doesn’t make sense to buy a more expensive version for something that goes under your floors. If there is a major water spill, I’m confident that if the water sleeps through my floors, this barrier will Help prevent the water from R@reaching the subfloor.

Great underlayment for less
As others have noted, this is the exact same stuff as is sold as "premium underlayment" at the big orange stores, it's just a different color. At the time I purchased it, this was less than half the cost of big orange, although they seem to have since caught on and lowered their pricing to be more competitive, this one is still the best deal out there and it's performance is excellent! I have a 2 story home with main living upstairs and a rec room with walkout basement downstairs. With my previous laminate install in the upstairs living room, I used to be able to clearly hear my wife's TV shows and phone conversations when I was downstairs. But since installing new laminate floors with this underlayment, it is much more muted. I can still tell if the TV is on, or if she is talking on the phone, but it is no longer intelligible or bothersome. So I got beautiful new floors and a quieter house. Win-win!

This was good stuff. It was listed at a good price ...
I put down 1400 sq ft laminate wood flooring. This was good stuff. It was listed at a good price on Amazon compared to Lowes. If doing a big project I recommend buying a larger roll for the majority of the job and then smaller rolls once you get close to completion that way you can return unused 100 sq ft rolls and get your money back for unused material because rarely does anyone order exactly the right amount they need. The tape on the side of the roll helped nicely attach roll to roll but you could do the job without it. It cuts very easy with scissors and doesn't easily rip if you drop something or snag your foot on it.Finally, it does dampen footstep sound and the floor doesn't seem cold to your bare feet so mayble it helps there too.
