Let me start by saying I am in love with this diaper bag. I never pegged myself for a Petunia Pickle Bottom type Mom because most of their patterns are WAAAAAYYYY too busy for my taste, but here we are. I registered for and received a Skip Hop Chelsea Downtown Chic Diaper Satchel, Black that I didn't realize I wouldn't like until I started using it. Fast forward to preparing for baby's first flight across the country and I realized my Skip Hop diaper bag (that I kind of already hated) was way too small to accommodate everything I needed. I decided I needed a diaper bag that had backpack straps and just couldn't decide between this Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack vs. Ju-Ju-Be Legacy Collection B.F.F. Convertible Diaper Bag, The Duchess vs. JJ Cole Backpack Diaper Bag, Black and Cream . We live in the middle of nowhere right now (military service), so I didn't have the option to run out to a store to check these out in person, so I ordered all of them to see which I preferred. Thanks Amazon Prime! I really thought I was going to be keeping the JuJuBe BFF, but I was going to try to talk myself into the much cheaper JJ Cole Backpack Diaper Bag. I only ordered this Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack to complete the comparison, but never expected to keep it. As much as I wanted to like JuJuBe BFF, the fabric felt cheap. I read tons of horror reviews about JuJuBe bags fabric fading in the sun and about busted zippers. I also read some reviews about awful customer service dealing with broken bags. I didn't care though, I am a bag snob, this is the "it" bag right? I must have it! Yeah, well it sucked and it's way too small for air travel. The only things I did like were the mommy pocket and the padded straps. I wanted to like the JJ Cole Backpack Diaper Bag because of the price tag. I bought it for like $50! Well, there is a reason it's $50. You get what you pay for. The fabric and hardware felt cheap and looked cheap in person. Being a bag snob, I just couldn't do it. It's basically an almost exact knock off of the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack, with a fake leather accent button to change the design. Long story short, the unexpected winner was the Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack. The waxed fabric is perfect for a diaper bag. The zippers and hardware look and feel expensive and it has an awesome magnetic closure. It is large enough to hold everything you need for travel without being overwhelmingly large. The zip down diaper changing pad is amazing and you can operate the whole thing with ONE HAND. One handed zip that you can do while holding a screaming baby with the other hand! Pros: Waxed fabric for easy wipe down Built in diaper changing station iPhone Plus fits perfectly in side pocket Opens and closes with one hand operation Can be carried Backpack style or messenger style Magnetic flap is a dream Perfect size for air travel Room for wallet in large back pocket 6 interior side pockets PPB offers AMAZING customer service Cons: It would be nice if the straps were padded Mommy Pocket would also be a plus I hope this review helps anyone trying to decide between these three backpack style diaper bags. I tried to be as specific as possible for those of you shopping in the middle of nowhere, without access to seeing these bags in person. I also highly recommend the Petunia Pickle Bottom Pacifier Pod. It's really helpful to have it clipped to the outside for quick access during plane takeoff and landing. The stroller clips are super nice as well! Sadly didn’t take any comparison photos, because I really wasn’t planning on writing a review. HA!

I love this diaper bag! I love how the strap can be obr the shoulder, cross body, or a backpack! The change pad I have used way more that I thought I would for changes on the go and it is removable if you don't want it or need to use it some where else. It's nice it has 2 waterbottle pockets, and inside there is 4 elastic pockets and 1 zippered pocket. I fit all the things I need for my baby and toddler. It's a bonus that it looks good too!

The perfect diaper bag with tons of room for clothes, toys, snacks, and diapering essentials. Straps are comfortable and really like the handle for easy transport!
