Question 1

How long is it shelf stable? Is it worth buying just to have on hand?

Accepted Answer

It worked really well, just follow directions exactly. Not sure about shelf life. I only had to use it once so I have plenty left over. I’m trusting it’s still good, but if you keep it on hand and unopened, it should be fine.

Question 2

What are the ingredients in this product?

Accepted Answer

The lice attack Solution contains olive oil, dimethicone, beeswax and rosemary oil. Dimethicone is the ingredient that gets rid of the lice.

Question 3

Soes this work on superlice? Dimethicone dosen't work on them.

Accepted Answer

Yes our products work very quickly on super lice. Super lice means that lice is resistant to permethrin and malathion. These are neurotoxin treatments found in most over the counter and prescription lice treatments that have been widely used to treat lice for many decades. Over the past 40-50 years, lice evolved to block out the effectiveness of these active ingredients and the result is live lice after treatment as well as the nits are not effected and are still viable. Dimethicone does successfully kill live lice within seconds of coming in contact with it. The bottle cap shape on our Lice Attack Solution bottle is helpful at applying the product directly to the scalp where most live lice will be (the way you’d apply hair color to your roots). As long as the scalp is saturated and you massage or comb the product further down the hair shaft (3”-4”) all live lice should come in contact with the treatment and will be dead within seconds. It is common to not be successful with a Dimethicone treatment because people tend to focus on applying to the length of hair and not the complete scalp or do not use enough product during a treatment or are not instructed to do proper follow up treatments necessary to end the life cycle of lice. Notice I didn’t mention nit removal. With our treatment process, Dimethicone give us the luxury of not having to comb out every last nit to end the cycle of lice to be successful. The success is in doing a total of three treatments with a Dimethicone based product 5-6 days apart. After the first treatment the person no longer has an active or contagious case and the simple follow up is the safety net to ensure the life cycle has ended to avoid a reoccurrence. We recommend nit removal so you don’t have a false positive from a leftover nit in a few months. Keep in mind lice are designed by nature to not be seen or felt so we always recommend a combing head check to asses any situation not a visual inspection. Looking for nits or lice is very easy to miss but combing for it is much more accurate. Our Professional Lice Treatment Kit has everything we use on our salon and each kit comes with 6oz of Lice Attack Solution Treatment which has enough treatment to treat one person for the three treatments recommended or get a few people started on an effective treatment. We sell 8oz bottles of the Lice Attack Solution separately for super thick frizzy hair or for multiple family members.
I hope this is helpful and makes sense. You can call our hotline anytime. A certified and experienced lice technician is always on call (610) 324-5661.

Question 4

How many people can be treated with this kit?

Accepted Answer

The KaPOW! Lice and Nit Battle Kit can treat an average family of four. The 12 oz bottle of solution is used to suffocate live bugs. You need between 1-2 oz to do so. The good news is that our schedule is to treat on day 1, day 6 and day 12. So after you treat everyone once, see how much is left in the bottle and you will know if you need more KaPOW! Lice Attack Solution before the enxt treatment in 6 days. So you will have six days to order it and for it to get there.
