Dog approved!
I’ve had this for 5 years and it’s held up great! Built to last! My dog absolutely loves it and gets so excited when she sees me pull it out. It’s very sturdy and she feels safe and secure. Big enough to hold her and my son. I have a 67 pound golden retriever. Highly recommend!

Great sturdy product and low enough for dogs to get on and off
I purchased this for my Texas Heeler puppy, not knowing if she would even use it. Let me tell you, she loves it. She jumps into from the side of the pool and she uses it for her king if the hill game with my AM Staf dog and their ball. This raft has taken a beating and is still holding air and floating. This raft is used 4-5 intervals every day and it has been jumped on, scratched at, wrestled on well over 100 times (southern florida and 90-95 degree days). The 2 dogs jump on it, wrestle with the ball on it, launch off of it and it has with stood all the abuse. The vent hole finally gave way to the material this past week but they didn't care and still use it. I tried to order a cheaper 1 for a replacement but it was much smaller in size, too tall for my AM Staff to get in it and the air valve keeps popping open. I didn't think this 1 would last more then a day with as rough as my dogs play on it but it lasted 2 months and I couldn't be more thrilled. I did have to order another 1 of these but that's ok, it's my dogs favorite play place.

Sturdy and fun
This float is great! My golden retriever and grandson had lots of fun in the pool. It is sturdy and should hold up well this summer.

Durable dog float!
My dogs love this. The construction is perfect for large dogs. My spouse did have a hard time inflating it and got frustrated because the valve lets air out as soon as you stop filling it. Once he figured it out, it was easier. After filling it the first time, we have not had to refill it again, and it has been inflated for a few weeks. I have an 85 pound German Shepherd and a 65-70 pound pit mix. They both use the float with no issues. Their claws have not done any damage to this. The dogs have not been able to damage the fabric or the inner tube in any way. The spring form has started to bend in on one side, but it does not bother my dogs. My pit mix uses it as a dock and diving board. They both love this. I would imagine this will last through a few pool seasons. I would highly recommend; however, I do hope the company fixes the inflation problem and the small spring form issue.

Finally! The dog can now have her own raft!!
I bought this raft and started using it in June 2013. I have a 55 lb Chocolate Lab and a 20 lb Jack Russell Terrier. They both LOVE to swim and equally love using rafts. For anyone who is in the same position, normal "human" rafts gets destroyed so easily and are not at all suited to be used by our four legged friends. This raft worked VERY well this summer! It has durable material and a wire frame that made it very sturdy to hold up each of my dogs, and at times the two of them together! I will say that by September the raft was unusable. The blue fabric in the middle started to fray and eventually the entire bottom was gone on the raft. HOWEVER, I do NOT feel that this is the fault of the product. My Chocolate Lab kept digging at the bottom to play in the water. I blame this for the cause of the fray. Also, there are two holes on the bottom on each side of the raft. I don't exactly know their purpose, but on occasion my Lab would step in the hole and stumble. She was never hurt but I'm sure it could be a concern. I did really love this product, it was worth the money and made the summer much more enjoyable with my dogs. I will certainly be buying another one to use next summer!

My dog and I love this float!
I purchased this float for my 40 lb. Australian Shepherd, who is recovering from a cruciate injury and needs swim therapy for her rehabilitation. The float is made from a heavy duty canvas like material, it has wire spring support along the edge. This is used when the float is deflated to twist it into a small folded package. When the float is inflated it adds support to the inflated sides. The float should be used by dogs only. My husband got in the float and the spring side bent inward, My husband later fixed the bend so now the float is only used by the dog. The bottom of the float has two holes, one at each side, which allows water to enter, so the dog is partially submerged while floating. I think this is a great design, allowing the dog to play and lay in the water, like a shallow wading pool. I use the float in our above ground pool, for Briar-Rose's therapy exercises. Briar-Rose can easily step into the float from her partially submerged ramp, however she needs assistance getting in from the water. Since the floor of the float is partially filled with water and it is floating in the water, this makes it a little unstable - which makes it the perfect therapy tool - it will not tip, but it can be slightly wobbly. When I ask my dog stand, it moves like a wobble board, causing her to use her core and leg muscles for support thereby strengthening her legs, back, and rear end. We'll also play tug, with a toy, while she's in the float, which helps strengthen all those muscles and joints. I keep Briar-Rose's nails trimmed and filed to prevent punctures. When used with supervision, the float is a great tool for aqua therapy and pool time fun.

Not perfect but close.
OK, I'm giving this 4 stars because it is and awesome float for my dog. Very heavy duty and my dog loves it. That being said... the float I received has a problem with one of the sides pulling in while my dog is in the raft. I believe that its due to the raft being designed to fold up. Completely unnecessary in my opinion. I hope the replacement I have ordered wont have the same issue. As mentioned in most of the reviews, the air valve does completely suck. Whoever designed it should be punched in the throat. All in all great raft and I can get by with the air valve issues. Update: 7/27/2018 My float lasted 2 years before deflating. I immediately ordered another one and this one had the same issue with the bent side. The new float developed a hole on the first use so I returned it. The replacement had the same issue with the bent side. The bent side is caused by the stiff ring on the inside of the float. The raft just closes in on my dog and squeezes him. It's designed to be folded and this causes the issue. Its a shame because its a nice raft. I'll be looking for another brand when its time to buy another.

I'm hoping I just got a defective item
So let me start by saying this is either the 2nd or 3rd one of these I've purchased over the years and my yorkies have always enjoyed them and they've been quite durable. However, the float I received this time did not live up to previous standards. At first glance, all was pretty good. It seemed to be of a durable construction and the mesh bottom did not allow my little dogs to sink too much in the water, like some similar floats have done. Unfortunately, several things happened to it after using it the first time. First, the stem appears to be defective because it's very hard to inflate because the stem does not come out far enough to get it fully inflated; then, once you do finally get it inflated to a sub-ideal amount and try to put the plug in, it's nearly impossible to do without all the air coming back out immediately because there is no flap to keep the air inside like there is in many inflatables. These are pretty minor issues compared to the other things that happened to the float. Somehow, while my yorkie was floating around in the pool, the plug must have come dislodged from the stem and before I knew it, he'd almost drowned because the float was sinking and he was going underwater, not close enough to the steps to get out by himself. Then, we decided we couldn't use the float any more because of that issue and because we had so much trouble getting it inflated in the first place, so we took it out of the pool and laid it on the deck. The next day, my husband called me outside to look at the float and it had developed a huge bulge in one spot that ripped out about a foot and a half of stitching! I'm very sad that this float performed so badly because we really have enjoyed using them over the years. I am going to order a new one now and see if my bad experience was just a one-off. I'm hoping so, because it truly has been a good float over the years. Just not this year.

Quel merveilleux produit / Wonderful product
We have a a 72 lbs Flat Coated retriever. He destroyed several of our pool floats with his long nails. But not this one. It is built very robust with thick material covering the inflatable part and the bottom. I have good hope this one will last the whole summer!! The only negative point is that it is too high when fully inflated and the dog has trouble climbing into it. I inflate it to about 2/3 its capacity and now the dog can easily climb in. At 70 loonies it's a bit expensive but very much worth it. I recommend this product. Update: 2 months later. Float is still in one piece! A bit expensive but very much worth it in the long term. I still recommend.

Valve does NOT stay closed!
Valve does NOT stay closed! Valve seems cheap and doesn't have the interior flap that keeps some air in. Whixh is a problem, because not only does it make it tough to inflate fully, but after a 3-4mins the valve cap comes out and all the air will leak out! Not a big deal unless you're in the water...Once most of the air leaks out, it starts filling with water! Seriously, try a different floaty! Good quality on the rest of the material though!
