THIS LITTLE THING IS A MIRACLE FOR FAMILY GAME NIGHTS! I have 3 brothers and they make a spectacle of rolling dice incorrectly, you have no idea how many they've lost, and broken (long story). But this little machine means a truly random roll each time. It takes 2 AA batteries and it has a clear cover to see the dice roll, as well as a case to cover the clear cover. Its nice and works very well! Overall I recommend.

I bought this for my daughter who has cerebral palsy and can't roll dice. She wants to play board games and I always feel like she's missing out on a level of engagement. There's something satisfying and fun about rolling dice in anticipation of the outcome. It doesn't include batteries, so I pulled out 2 AA batteries, but I couldn't get the battery door open. This is why I removed one star. The little plastic tab actually broke on me, but with the use of a flathead screwdriver, I was able to still open it and it still snapped closed. I'm ok with this. I put two dice in it and put it on my daughter's wheelchair tray. I was concerned she wouldn't be able to activate the button, but she had no problems doing it. The device was small enough that it didn't take up too much room on her tray, yet big enough and easy enough to activate without much pressure. You should have seen the smile on her face. She was rolling her own dice for the first time in 26 years. I noticed the included dice were smaller than standard dice. I'm going to test the versatility to determine if larger dice will work but seeing how fast and easily the small dice fly around, it'll probably work just fine. It would be nice to use D&D dice, like a D20 or D10. It's made of plastic but feels well built, besides the battery cover clip. It's light weight and small enough to store. In the end, this is a very versatile device that has brought a smile to my daughter!

The clear plastic top of the cloche is very hard to open, but it works great! Do NOT use metal dice, as the green mat inside was very easily scratched by the metal edges. Used my mini metal d20 in it and it scratched the green part pretty bad. I'd recommend resin dice only.

Works really good with lighter dice like acrylic, plastic or resin. Doesn't roll heavy metal dice as easily.
