The Easter OneStream Bible GIFT from Peter & fellow Architect Factory scribes
In Summary: This is the best ROI I capitalized from any $100 I spent on any book (other than mine😊) to date.First, Let me take the honor to congratulate Peter & OneStream Architect Factory Team for scribing the OneStream Bible so that we EPM/CPM Evangelists can preach it. Each of the chapters in this book should develop as an open-sourced standard. In my prior life (about two decades ago) as a PMI Volunteer, I had the honor to involve as a volunteer contributor to all five of the PMI Standards (PMBOK, OPM3, Program & Portfolio Management, and PMCD). Thousands of volunteers are behind those standards today practiced by over two million Project Management professionals in over 200 countries. As OneStream developed as a platform system, I hope you will consider open-sourcing this foundational Standard to EPM/CPM volunteers around the world to contribute. After over a two-decade-long EPM expedition (including at BIG4), I was at a crossroads not long ago with my career and passion in the EPM domain. It disappointed me with the 20th-century pre-WWW (World Wide Web) architecture and its lift & shift to Cloud as minions of EPM/CPM tools created by the Goliaths (like Oracle, SAP, IBM, etc.). I used to religiously partake in all the KSCOPE (Hyperion faithful's conference) fellowships since 2010, and the writing on the wall was evident to me for quite some time.In search of my redemption EPM road less traveled, I am blessed to cross paths with an Extraordinaire 22nd century Platform about half a decade ago. Since then, I got my EPM MOJO back and became a self-proclaimed Evangelist of OneStream. I had the privilege of testing my OneStream EPM Hypotheses in the EPM Architect's capacity at Vertex Aerospace in the DoD landscape based on a major Private Equity CFO's mandate. Later I had the honor to present (Customer Panel) at OneStream SPLASH 2019 conference.B2B (Back to the Book):After a three-week-long impatient wait (Prime took four days to ship it from Nashville to Memphis☹), I finally received the book as an Easter present. Besides under the hood Techno-Functional nuts &bolts, this book provides rare insight into how the EPM Sausage is made & evolved over the past three decades. Let me admit I am yet to go through all the 430 pages of this priceless wisdom. The secret sauce (forward) from Tom (Co-Founder & CEO) on his OneStream Sausage making process itself is priceless😊Let me admit my ignorance and take the liberty to share some of my preliminary constructive observations (which I will update as I evolve) to make my reading a bit more pleasant:1. My eyes are not that young anymore, and my eyes started aching already with an initial couple of chapters themselves. I hope you will consider publishing it as a Kindle Book to play with the fonts & their sizes besides all the formatting options. Your book will never go sold out of the status and will help you with Amazon ranking too.2. I hope you will consider Whispersync enabled Audible book to highlight and take notes (on Kindle book) while listening to the Audio. It will help me listen while I am driving or killing time during client meetings😊. I usually also project my Kindle book on an 85" screen TV while listening to it and taking notes. It is worth recording it with a professional ACX narrator for $50-$500/ PFH, and it will be worth every penny.3. Publishing the Hardcover Book—To me, the paper edition is a collectible item, and I would like to have it autographed for my bookshelf (or sell it for multi-Million $'s when you are rich and famous with IPO😊). I don't mind a few dollars more on Hardcover since I paid >$98 for the paperback. This Hard-Cover edition should be on every CFO's desk😊4. Please consider adding this book to GoodReads so that I can share the notes and highlights with other fellow readers.5. The book cover is one of the most critical marketing tools. It is a beautiful cover, and I understand why you picked the New Orleans City landscape cover (first SPLASH sentimental attachment as a foundational conference). But the same picture is repeated both front and back (I hope you will consider an alternate view from the mighty Mississippi/Gulf – pardon me, photography is my passion😊). This is your most precious real estate in the book. It will be great if you do a bit of photoshopping trick to get rid of the gas-guzzler parking lots and other distractions (power lines & poles)😊. If you spend $5, Bucks, on FIVERR (kidding), you can get some amazing OneStream themed graphics (I understand you do have amazing in-house graphics artists). The above methodologies helped me immensely as an Author (Make Enterprise Great Again: The Gods Must Be Crazy!) in selling >10K books in over dozen countries in a few months(Besides, I had the privilege to contribute to five books/Standards (PMI) and about 50 papers global forums).Once again, let me admit my ignorance and express my gratitude to the scribes for the OneStream Bible,Your Fellow OneStream Evangelist

The Practical Guide for OneStream!
Pre-ordered. Got the book on March 31. Picked it up from parcel locker around midnight. Started reading/browsing through it. Next thing I know it is 3 AM! This book kept my attention and it certainly is the practical guide to OneStream! Ended up purchasing PDF copy too. Good for quick searching and screenshotting snippets for sharing ideas. Book is good to separate from the computer and take in the read. Looking forward to pursuing OneStream certifications.

Good starting point
It’s a pretty good book. I thought it would give more detail about reporting and the Excel Add-In. There isn’t much information or detail on the subject.

Great Place to Start!
When it comes to learning just a PORTION of what OneStream can do, this book is a great place to start. Clearly defines some of the essential uses, capabilities and functionality of just some of the abilities of OneStream.

Not just a one-time read
The flow of the book is really good, great intro in regard to the Design analogy of building a house. I am using it to study for the Architect Exam, will be a good reference tool for after the exam. There is a lot of content and lot to know when building on the OneStream platform.

Not what I was hoping.
Great book if you have new to cpm or if you want to know what OS is. However it does not actually help you use the tool. Save your money.

My go-to guide on OneStream!
I love how well thought out and easy the content is to consume in this handbook. It provides everything you want to know about OneStream and applies real-world examples and best practices. I have found answers to my questions on multiple occasions in this handbook. It is my go-to guide now!

Great Place to Start!
Overall, the handbook appears to be well-structured and well-written, with clear explanations of technical concepts and step-by-step instructions for performing various tasks within the software. The authors also provide numerous examples and use cases to help illustrate key concepts and best practices. In terms of organization, the handbook is divided into several sections that cover different aspects of the OneStream platform. Each section is further subdivided into chapters that focus on specific topics, making it easy to navigate and find the information. I think the book is an excellent introduction to OneStream and a valuable resource for users who are looking to deepen their understanding of the software.

Not a beginner's guide
Too full of the mythology of OneStream XF and the cult of the organisation that built it. As a general indication of how to go about an implementation project it has some use, but do not expect much in the way of practical detailed advice.
