I love pancake sandwich and will buy this machine only if it works with pancakes. Anyone attempted that before? Results?

I'm sure it would be fine but the pancakes would need to be cooked first. You will be layering items and you would not be able to flip. This gives me a great idea to try! I've only used English muffins and hamburger buns.

How long do i cook the egg for?

Sandwich will cook from 3-5 minutes, depending upon how you want the egg done.

Has anyone made a sandwich using regular bread? Or toast?

This is designed for English muffins or Bagels, not for bread, however if you bought the Hamilton Beach 25490 Dual Breakfast Sandwich Maker, you would be able to use bread.
