First and foremost he does not list source material. The English translation is somewhat lacking, not using typical phraseology; to the extent that I had to reread to get his meaning. It is written more like a fictional novel than a biography based on fact. For example in section 133: He issued the first battle order in a booming voice from his commanding post at Daejangseon, "Maintain your composure as weighty as the mountain." THAT sounds more like fiction than fact.

This book is simply a great insight into Asian history.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Loved the way the author narrated and put into perspective the life of this extraordinary Admiral . Well written. A must read book.
