worked great! Mine worked just as good as a friend ...
Had this out all Hunting season, worked great! Mine worked just as good as a friend who spent double or triple for a higher priced product. Funny thing is both his laser and mine pulled the same distance when tracking Elk at 200 to 500 yards. If you are hunting this is a good value, small, easy to use and accurate.

Pleasant surprise
I am pleasantly surprised with this little rangefinder. I wasn't expecting much from this for the price, but it far out-performs my name brand model. The optics are clear in the center, a little fuzzy around the edges, but brighter than the other two units I've owned. As far as ranging, it will reach farther than any unit I've used. I've ranged utility poles out to 823 yards and the tops of pine trees at 788. There are too many hills in this area to try longer ranges. The fog mode is what really sets this apart from my other units. I don't understand how it works, but it does. I was trying to range a fence while hunting and the reading was 14 yards. Changed to "fog" mode and got 288 yards consistently. Angle, height, and horizontal range appear to work well also. I haven't tried the speed function yet.

This range finder has a lot of good features and seems accurate
This range finder has a lot of good features and seems accurate. I really like it. The manual isn't so great, but not hard to figure out after a bit of trial and error playing with it. I thought mine was broke at first, but after removing the battery and checking it, I finally figured out that the clear shrink wrap was still on the battery. My old eyes didn't see this at first. I know this is being picky, but I think the manual should tell you to first remove the battery and remove the clear plastic wrap from it and reinstall. Also when you lift the latch on the battery compartment, you do have to pull fairly firmly straight out to remove the cover. It fits tightly so that it is waterproof.

Truly excellent product for the price
I was very impressed with this model. I paid twice the price for my last rangefinder at Bass Pro (which my dog ate) and it was not as good. The written instructions that come with it are a bit brief. You might have to play around with the settings a bit. Points of note:1 - it is automatically in Meters - so if you are in the US using it for hunting (or golf for that matter) make sure to switch it to yards.2 - On the last page of the short instructions it tells you how to work out your auto settings. This is important so make sure to do it. Once that is done it is very easy to use. Just a two button function.3 - It automatically turns off after about 15 seconds, which is awesome for saving battery.4 - It correctly works as a range finder (mine gives accurate yardage).5 - It does have an angle function for bow or crossbow hunters shooting from stands (which I have found is unusual to find in a rangefinder of this price range)Edit - I did move this from 5 stars to 4 stars after having used it in the field with a crossbow this year. it is still a great product for the price. However if you are willing to spend quite a bit more, some of the more expensive rangefinders have better operation in low light. My scope for my crossbow (standard scope - not lit) is visible and usable earlier and later (in lower light) then this rangefinder. This is not a huge thing but this rangefinder is not very usable at dusk or right after sun up where you still do have a legal shot but light conditions are low.

Works Perfect, and Accurate
Used this rangefinder for sighting in rifle, hunting and golf. Measured off the 50, 100, 250, and 400 with tape; was very accurate on ranges. Measured tree height and it was accurate. Works well on the golf course. Tried the speed setting but did not have anything to gauge it off of for accuracy.

Great Product
It performs well against more expensive range finders. It's compact and light weight which makes it easy hang around your neck for quick access when walking. I have not had a need for most of the other features it offers but for ranging it works as expected. I would definitely recommend it.

Pos
Works great in perfect conditions. I am on a hunt as I write this and this range finder will not give an accurate range with any kind of dog. Very frustrating. I don't write a lot of reviews but I'm on a hunt with my son and now we have to guess the range of the deer we spot. I'm absolutely pissed right now. I wasted my money. Don't waste yours.

Doesn't last too long
It stopped working after less than two years of very infrequent use (I used it no more than ten times in all). All I get is a low battery message whenever I turn it on. The seven batteries I tried using with the rangefinder are brand new with voltages hovering at the 3V mark. I was expecting this item to last longer.
