Great Tower Fan
I've been using this tower fan now for the last 3 or so weeks and it has been great at keeping my hot room circulated with cool air. I live facing the sun most of the day and even though I block my windows with space blankets (awesome tip to anyone out there with the same problem, just wrap it around cardboard cutouts) my room still manages to heat up with the various electronics in here, So I finally decided to buy a tower fan. This tower fan has many great features.1. Three speed settings (low, medium, high)2. Osculation (rotates back and forth to really cool of the WHOLE room, not just a section)3. A timer which acts as a sleep mode to turn off after a specific time (ranging from 1-8 hours in 30 min increments)4. A style button to simulate a natural breeze5. And finally an ionizer (read the description below)The speeds work fine, the low setting is about the sound of a running desktop computer, only a little louder. The Osculation works terrific, no clicks or noises aside form that spinning cylinder sending cool air my way. the timer I haven't used much of simply because I usually turn it on and off as needed. Going to bed, opening up my window once it gets cool enough, ect. The natural breeze setting (or Style feature) seems fine but I probably wouldn't be able to go sleep with that setting if that is your goal, because it jumps all over the range of fan speeds and I feel that I might be sitting there in bed listening to it go from nearly off, to its highest speed, keeping me from falling asleep, although it does work just fine/how it was designed. Then Finally is the Ionizer. This feature from what I have read electrically charges particles in the air to clean dust and any other air particles to collect and fall to the floor rather than linger in the air your actually breathing. Whether it works or not it probably depends on the air quality and many other factors. Either way its a cool feature. For the price I love this fan and would want to spend the ridiculous amount of money fro other "top-notch" tower fans. This guy gets the job done and is very sleek and modern looking. Have no regrets with this fan, you'll be staying cooler in no time at all.

this fan BLOWS! ;)
here's a few backgrounds on where i am - i'm in a room that is in constant sunlight all day long - on long island in NY. i work from home, to boot, so i've usually got the TV and laptop on. needless to say, i'm in the room alot and thee is a lot of "heat" sources on in the room most of the time.i am not someone that likes the frigid dryness of an AC, so when i start noticing the heat (usually at about 80 degrees) i kick on the AC for about 10 minutes and then I shut it off again until it starts getting hot. Usually about once every hour or so, I do this. With this fan, I haven't kicked the AC on once. The room drops about 2 degrees with the fan constantly circulating air (i've got a temperature gauge in my room) and its low wattage (35 on low, 39/40 on medium, and 46 on high and on HIGH it reaaaally moves some crazy air) beats my AC any day (500 watts on low). I can literally run this fan for 12 hours and it's still far less wattage than my AC at one hour. The oscillation feature is awesome, you don't hear it moving at all the way some tower fans and oscillating fans can be heard. Whether this will degrade over time, I am not sure - it most likely will as all things degrade - but for now it's working perfect. The ionizer feature is really only going to improve 2 things - the gathering of dust in a room and the "freshness" of the air. If you don't notice the ionizer doing anything, then congrats, you already have a fresh smelling room that isn't that dusty. I notice that it does work though bc i've got a large amount of cardboard boxes in this room (i sell and ship items for a living) and cardboard sure can stink. Well this ionizer kicks that odor out and circulates a cool fresh breeze. The timer mode works like a charm and the "sleep" mode, is kinda neat, but kinda weird as i wouldn't recommend it for sleeping. it works erratically between low, medium, high, off and provides more of a natural breeze than anything that i'd recommend sleeping on. the constant variation of noise of the fans (which are pretty quiet, but at night they will seem louder bc everything is quieter) will most likely keep you up if you use it in the bedroom. For a natural breeze though, it's a good choice setting. The fan is also very powerful, on low you can feel a breeze from about 10 feet away. On medium, about 15 feet away, and on high about 20 to 25 feet away. it's pretty awesome :) the remote feature is great too although at times, when its oscillating, it can be hard to get it at the "right" time and line it up. for the most part, that's going to be a problem with an oscillating remote controlled fan.overall, its a superb fan and i really recommend buying it.

Excellent Fan
After years of suffering through rattling fans, loud oscillating motors, and awkward remotes, I am so happy that I finally gave in and bought this fan. I sleep with a fan on every night - I find the humming sound comforting and I love a nice cool breeze throughout the night - well, this is the fan! My old fan was so loud and rattled throughout the whole night, this fan is quiet and has excellent features! The oscillating feature works perfectly and smoothly, you hear no indication that the fan is turning. The timer feature is nice, but I don't tend to use it, so I can't really comment. The speed settings are great - even at it's most powerful speed, it isn't mind-boggling loud. As for the ION feature, who knows if this really works - sounds like a bunch of hooey to me :)It would be nice if the price were a bit lower, but after suffering through years of cheap, horribly made fans, the price tag is well worth it to me.
