The Vault

Nice little movie about a group of people attempting to break into a bank vault to retrieve an item that will lead to greater riches. Other reviews has not been kind to this movie. I mean it's a movie about people breaking into a bank vault. Many movies have been done with this plot line. Difference is how it is done. I mean, the title of the move says it all. What are those other reviewers looking for exactly ? Acting is ok. Not under or over done. The story for this movie is about a leader of a ship salvage team who locates a special key that will lead to a site where greater riches lay only to have that item confiscated by the local government due to where the salvage occurred. Of course it is all locked up in the bank vault, thus the reason for the movie. But that becomes secondary as the movie concentrates on the various people who will be breaking into the vault and how they go about it. I liked it. It's a nice little movie. Has an "Ocean's Eleven" vibe to it in that it moves along. Doesn't try moralizing as to the right/wrong to what they are doing. Again, judge for yourself. Movie itself has subtitles. Good clear video. Audio is in english. There is a spanish track also. No other special features. No making of. No commentaries.

Really enjoyed this movie. Keeps you on your toes.

If you are looking for movie more like those ridiculous Fast and Furious movies, this won't be for you. If you are looking for some diversionary entertainment with a new plot motive and challenge and you like Liam Cunningham from GoT or his role in The Guard, give it a try. Really don't understand folks who waste their time watching a movie that isn't their genre vs checking it out first for what it is. This isn't a crime movie about drugs, thugs, or AK-47's. Or about some kind of complicated sexual relationship within a gang. Also enjoyed a movie set in Madrid for a change and what their after was also novel.

My title sums it up pretty well, basically a bank heist to get some important coins which are part of a map. The vault itself is weight based. I thought it was pretty good. I can see why some may have a risen eyebrow at it. The entire vault which looked fairly large, just to house 4 boxes? That is hard to believe. BUT still the idea on how to beat the system, like i said, pretty good.

Similar to Ocean 11 but not a copy and the movie has it's own heist story which is very clever.Lots of action and a great adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat.We enjoyed the twists and turns and the ending was great. We did expect it and paid attention throughout the movie.This is finally a great plot and movie and was well worth the $3.99 rental fee.Glad that we watched it and we are happy.

Liked the story location and the interesting characters. This movie was fast paced and the majority of the actors were quite good and believable especially the supporting character actors. A few plot inconsistencies detracted from the overall excellance of the film. I would recommend this movie to friends.

I have been watching a LOT of really bad movies lately. This one wasn't terrible. It probably seems way better than it really is just due to the sheer comparison of other bad movies. And for that, it was worth it. I was solidly entertained. Not the best movie ever, but good enough.

Freddy Highmore is great in this movie that has a national treasure feel to it. They set it up for a sequel that I hope we get because this movie was great. The problems that had to be solved and the characters involved where very entertaining. Good double crosses , great story. Just a really feel good movie. Glad I purchased this.
