Tribesigns Vanity Set with Lighted Mirror, Makeup Vanity Dressing Table Dresser Desk for Bedroom (Black-3)

Initially, I set out to find a desk for our 10-year-old daughter as her birthday was rapidly approaching. I was trying to find something that was “girly” but not too “kiddy” either. My wife suggested we just get her a Vanity and that’s when I started to look for something that met both criteria. Enter the Tribesigns Vanity.Being that I’m reviewing this item it’s obvious I went with this particular item. Overall I think I spent 4 or so hours searching the internet but when I finally landed on this vanity I knew the search was over.Price:No complaints here, the price is pretty amazing for what you get.Set-up:Putting this together was fairly simple. It came in two boxes, one for the Vanity and one for the Stool. The instructions were functional but honestly there wasn’t much to putting it together as some parts were already assembled (like the drawers). Depending on how fast you work it will take you 30 minutes to an hour to get it out of the box and fully put together.Appearance:Aesthetically this is a great piece of furniture. My personal style preference is modern and simple (like IKEA) but my wife prefers furniture that is fancy and detailed. Of course, my opinion was meaningless in this decision as it was for our daughter (and her style matches my wife’s) but honestly I’m not really sure you could find a more perfect balance of both styles like we found in this vanity. It curves gradually and has a nice black finish but also has pleasant flower designs embossed throughout. I do like the contrast visually of the white topped stool but I do fear it will get stained eventually.Functionality:As I mentioned above, I was looking for a balance of a desk and a vanity and this fit the bill. A lot of the vanities I was looking at had very little (if any) storage, this item has 7 fully functional drawers. There are no mechanisms that stop the drawers from sliding completely out but that’s something you only expect to find in more expensive furniture.The stool (as clearly shown in the image) has no back support. To be fair a lot of vanities come with only stools but it can easy be matched with a different chair that does have support if needed..The vanity part is two separate pieces. The top part that houses two drawers and the mirror is actually not attached to the base in any way. I thought this was odd and worried that the mirror might fall if the vanity was knocked into but it actually balances quite well. We have had the vanity for two months now and it’s on carpet (so it’s not perfectly flat) and there have been zero issues with it even tipping.The mirror itself can rotate both up and down.Other comments:So in a nutshell, we all love the Vanity. My daughter uses it for make-up, homework, and even has her mini sewing machine on it. She is a messy girl and the extra storage space not only adds to the functionality of the item but helps keep her room cleaner. It’s a great present for pre-teens and teens alike and I’d get it again in a heartbeat.One last note, initially when the Vanity arrived the vanity itself was fine but the stool was broken during transport. I contacted Tribesigns sending pictures of the damage and they sent me a new stool, no questions asked. The best part was they didn’t make me send back the broken stool. I’m also giving a shout out to May, the Tribesigns employee I worked with, she was great and super supportive.If you are looking for a desk that parades around as a vanity or just an inexpensive Vanity with a ton of storage this is the perfect item to go with.

I purchased this set back in 2017, despite the mixed (although mostly positive) reviews. I thought it was very pretty and would look perfect in my gothic-style bedroom. I was very pleased when it arrived, it went together easily and seemed very sturdy. The seat was missing, so I emailed the seller. She got back to me quickly and was very nice and apologetic and sent the seat immediately. It's a bit on the small side (I'm a 5'7" adult) but seemed sturdy as well. I painted the top with some silver fabric paint and it looked beautiful.So now it's just short of two years later and with almost daily use, the set has held up well (despite some paint coming off of the knobs but that's an easy fix). Until two nights ago. I sat down to blow dry my hair and without any warning the seat just came apart. I fell on the hard wood floor and needless to say now have a giant hematoma on the left side of my butt. Thankfully I didn't hit my head or my back. The screws were NOT loose (I had just tightened them recently), the whole structure of the thing just came apart.I emailed them, telling them what happened (including the butt bruise) and got a very standard email back telling me they'd check the warehouse and send me another. Great, maybe I'll fall on my right side next time to even it out.Overall the set is (was) very nice but I would be cautious about using this bench if you're an adult that doesn't weigh 90 pounds or so.Ouch.

I purchased the Tribesigns makeup vanity for my daughter's room. She is extremely pleased with her selection. It was fairly easy to assemble and is a beautiful addition to her room. The accent drawers can fit small items such as makeup and hair brushes. Overall, I believe it was a bargain for the money.

First of all, the table is ALL SCRATCHED UP, so disappointing to pay $200 for anything, only to relieve it damaged. Also, the bench/stool won't sit on all 4 legs, it keeps teetering and I have no idea why. I tried unscrewing and re-screwing the legs but it's still teetering ! Really diappointed.

the vanity table arrived last week with a broken panel under the bottom drawer. We tried to patch it up as I am impatient and don't want to wait for the whole desk to be returned and replaced. We glued it and painted the damaged part black. I suppose I can live with it. Today I sat on the stool and one of the legs came loose. It is good to look at but not too sturdy. It is not made of real wood. I would not order this product again. Has anyone else had this problem?

Love this piece in my room, thank you so much!!! it's very gothic and an amazing add into my new bedroom for a pop of vintage darkness!! price is very affordable, i'm glad i went ahead and bought this and the chair is a nice bonus. assembling took some work but in the end, the finished product was so beautiful. very elegant & i adore it very much :) thank you again!

easy to put together, but it takes an hour or two. excellent craftsmanship. the top part (with the mirror) is not attached to the table, so be prepared to compensate for that. other than that, the finish is beautiful and the seat is sturdy.

Very nice but drawers aren't secure enough. They have to be held when pulled out as they are unstable and can easily fall out. Other than that it's is definitely very nice. Looks good and functional.
